Draft Thread Round 1

The Houston Texans trade up with the Bills. On the clock at 26.

The Bills Trade: #26 (1st Round), #91 (3rd Round)The Texans trade: #28 (1st Round), #69 (a nice 3rd Round), #167 (5th Round)

I would have preferred Thienamen. Max only started playing football in his 2 year of college. Has great feet and power. Still learning the game. I have to believe they kick him into guard. He will be a stud, but if they leave him at OT and play him right away, the NFL will eat him alive.

if they have to trade up to get Germie they have got to do it to save this draft! I guarantee the dude we drafted in the first won’t start he can’t pick things up quick enough he makes jones looked polished we need starters!
I bet you eat those words.

I like the pick.
Me too. I mean I'm not overjoyed or anything but he was Top 20 on a few draft boards I was looking at, could've done much worse.

Why does everyone think he'll play Guard? He's 6'6 with long arms. You have to try him at OT. He's raw. I don;t want him learning G then make him re-learn OT next year.

If they think he's moving to G, it's an awful pick. A project G in Rd 1 is bad,

He will be our starting LG. Mark my words. Likely for a long time. McCarthy likes big guards.

The Miami Dolphins have traded up to the 27th pick in the NFL Draft. They sent picks 30 and 90 to the 49ers for picks 27 and 138

This what’s killing me about the Steelers we aren’t doing things right and teams like the bears are. this is good example we sign bears reject at safety and they draft a 4.3 playmaker to take his place that we pass over!! That’s how you win in the playoffs draft play makers to replace mediocre players that keep you mediocre!

The Steelers like drafting OL who are projects. Cowher, Tomlin both took **** for it, obviously it is a franchise thing. I hope he ends up a great player. Your one can't be a maybe or a project unless you're a contender.

I thought Lemon was gonna drop to us cause Dallas was not gonna take a WR. I wanted Lemon but man our O LINE is seriously suspect. Guy allowed no sacks at all last year on passing downs. ZERO. BJ is not even close to being ready and we need lineman bad.

6’6 330 and excellent in his first full year means he has huge upside. We need quality lineman in the worst way

You win with a good line. Then get playmakers.

Not only is he not playing guard, he'll probably be the starting RT with Fautanu moving to LT.

If you think he can start and not get our qb killed his rookie year good luck to you and our poor qb! It’s a complex offense to block for its why the packers draft and sit their o linemen. We didn’t need this guy at this spot they could have drafted a guy next year or get a diamond in the rough lower down! They panicked cuz the eagles traded up and took their guy

The Bears also have a No. 1 overall draft pick playing QB. The Steelers have a sixth rounder taking first-team reps right now.
