Steelers had a "train station" (informal) meeting with Alabama DB Minkah Fitzpatrick. They are sure he'll be gone before they pick at 29 but just doing their due diligence. @TheAthleticPGH

Agree, had him in my early mocks for round three, not if you want him he's at least a top 64 talent.

My take is they're keeping all their options open and doing their best to be prepared when #28 rolls around.
Who knows how it will unfold. Tough every year when you draft at the bottom of the round, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
 
Showing a good bit of interest in Ried with his visit this week. If LVE and Evans aren't on the board or the Steelers don't have them rated that high, I can see Ried being the pick if he is there at 28.

Yeah Reid probably comes with less question marks. A safer pick than either of the two you mentioned IMO.
