1st draft with comp pick confirmed/TE signed/Bryant ban news:

Your score is: 7097 (GRADE: C+) Not sure why the site seems to give low grades all of a sudden. Lowest pick was B- . . . .

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 29 (ARI): Vonn Bell, SS/FS, Ohio State (B+) Traded back and added extra 2nd round pick. With Bell and Mitchell we SHOULD be set at safety for the forseable future.
Round 2 Pick 25: Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame (A) With Bryant going to suspended and Wheaton in his last year, couldn't pass on this talent dropping.
Round 2 Pick 30 (ARI): Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA (A+) Run stuffer who can hopefully become a rotational pass rusher also.
Round 3 Pick 25: Jonathan Jones, CB, Auburn (B+) Described by some draft sites as the a-typical Steeler corner.
Round 4 Pick 25: Jihad Ward, DE, Illinois (A-) More help for Cam and Tuitt.
Round 6 Pick 45 (COMP): Joe Thuney, OG, NC State (A-) This guy can play all 5 positons on the line. Beachum 2.0.
Round 7 Pick 8: Antwione Williams, OLB, Georgia Southern (B-) Great athlete to develop.
Round 7 Pick 25: Cody Kessler, QB, Southern California (B) We need to bring in at least 3 guys to challenge Laundrymat Jones for the BU QB spot. I can see us drafting one here if all other needs are met.

Your Future Picks:
2017 Round 1 Pick
2018 Round 1 Pick

Thats a fantastic draft Coolie. Now make it happen next month,,,,

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 25: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson (B)
Again it's a need, we all know the Steelers are high on him, and he's sitting there at #25.

Round 2 Pick 27: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA (A+)
Former wrestler who is stout against the run and has some pass rush ability. Little squatty for most teams but he has strong legs and holds the point very well.

Round 3 Pick 26: Sean Davis, S, Maryland (A)
Davis is a very physical safety who has great stats and above average athleticism.

Round 4 Pick 25: Paul Perkins, RB, UCLA (A)
I know we have Bell and Williams but Bell is coming due for a contract and Williams isn't getting younger. Perkins was one of the nations best all purpose backs the last two seasons.

Round 6 Pick 45 (COMP): Victor Ochi, OLB, Stony Brook (A)
Ochi is a pass rush specialist who just has that non stop motor that allows him to get to the QB. He reminds me a little of Harrison so who better to learn from.

Round 7 Pick 8: Caleb Benenoch, OT, UCLA (D+)
Beneoch is one of the most athletic OT in this draft. I feel he'd excel in the zone blocking scheme and very quickly become our swing tackle.

Round 7 Pick 25: Ricardo Louis, WR, Auburn (B)
Louis is 6-2, 215, with long arms and can flat out fly. Maybe gives us a back a little of that deep threat we are losing with Bryant.

Not my best scoring draft but I would be very happy with this one. Shore up the secondary and the D-line. Make our D back into a force like it used to be.

Your score is: 8608 (GRADE: A-)

Round 4 Pick 25: Jihad Ward, DE, Illinois (A-)
Round 6 Pick 45 (COMP): Ken Crawley, CB, Colorado (A+)
Round 7 Pick 8: Yannick Ngakoue, OLB, Maryland (A)
Round 7 Pick 25: Wendell Smallwood, RB, West Virginia (A+

Trading picks sure is fun....

Your Picks:

Did the fanspeak one since there's no trades to try to temp me lol

25: R1p25
cb mackensie alexander
clemson
Smaller than you'd like but fast, smart, film rat, who just loves the game.

58: R2p27
dt vernon butler
louisiana tech
This is definitely best case scenario. Filling two defensive holes with our first two picks.

89: R3p26
c nick martin
notre dame
Not a need? Who backs up Foster, DeCastro and second in line to Pouncey. Yep, Hubbard. Martin is probably one of the most nfl ready players in the draft and can backup the entire interior line.

124: R4p25
rb c.j. Prosise
notre dame
Go with a golden domer again. Prosise fits the zone blocking scheme with his ability to follow blocks and catch out of the backfield. Some insurance if Bell goes down again.

221: R6p45
s tevin carter
utah
I know finally a safety. Look at this dude's physical abilities and size and though he might not start this year he will push for playing time.

230: R7p8
de stephen weatherly
vanderbilt
Maybe the smartest guy in this draft and definitely one of the most physically gifted.

247: R7p25
fb glenn gronkowski
kansas state
Will Johnson probably gone so we get mini gronk.

I had a dream that the white board with draft possibilities for 1.25 was ready when the pick came around. Most players they wanted were gone. Tomlin took a water hose and sprayed off the white board. The player left on the board was Eli Apple.

Sometimes I wonder if that method of choosing a player is what some people here thinks happens.

The more I look at this draft class, the more I want for Tomlin and Colbert to trade down. I love the talent pool in the second and third rounds. Guys like OG Westerman and Garnett, DT's Reed and Johnson, SS's Joseph, Cash, and Dillon, OT's Spriggs, Clark, and Hawkins, LB's Correia, Fackrell, and Calhoun will likely be there in those rounds. I really envy the teams with multiple picks in these rounds.

So, a very defensive minded mock. I couldn't take a CB early. Just the way the draft fell. But I can't be disappointed with the result.Figured I'd throw in several CB picks towards the end.
