Round 1 Pick 25: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech (B)
Personally I thin Fuller at 25 will be a very good value when it is all said and done. Yes, they are going to have to go back to his Freshman and Sophomore tape but I think if he clears medically he should show he's a 1st round CB no problem. He has size at 6' 197lbs, speed which I feel he is about 4.45-4.55 watching him on tape, and nice defense skills with 6 int's 11 PD as a Fresh, and 2int's and 13 PD as a Soph and a couple of forced fumbles to boot.
Round 2 Pick 25: Austin Johnson, DT, Penn State (A-)
I feel McLendon will likely be gone next year since we can't afford to pay him what some other teams will offer. Also, at 30 he will be looking to cash in on his last NFL contract. So Johnson who is 6-3 325lbs and can stack and shed about as good as any coming into the draft. He disrupts the front and is one of the best run defenders in the game. He also moves laterally very well for a big man. I think the Steelers re-sign Cam Thomas for a reasonable price tag vs McLendon, and then have Johnson and McCullers fight it out for playing time. I loved McCullers his rookie season but he really has faded since then so he needs a big offseason and training camp in my book. This pick should solidify the interior of our defensive line.
Round 3 Pick 25: Karl Joseph, SS, West Virginia (A)
Joseph reminds me a bit of Mike Mitchell. He likes contact, plays the run, knocks the ball loose with 6 FF, this year had 5 int's. He's a little shorter than you'd like but he doesn't let that stop him. I feel he will end up being a tic over 5-10 when he's measured.
Round 4 Pick 25: Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo (A)
Looking I found Hunt is returning for his senior season. But I will tell you why I took a RB late in the 4th. Bell has never made it thru an entire season without getting hurt. DeAngelo Williams is going to be 33 next year. Todman is an URFA. I am ok with getting a RB in rounds 4-7 when the value and fit is there. I will say this about Hunt he'd of fit perfect in the zone blocking scheme and that's why I took him.
Round 7 Pick 8: Joel Heath, DT/DE, Michigan State (A)
We are pretty decent at DE but if Thomas goes to the inside this will replace his spot at the end. Heath is not a wow stat guy but he does all the little things you want. He's 6-6 293lbs and I feel has upside. He won't get pushed around I feel and what he might lack in pass rush he should make up for in batted balls.
Round 7 Pick 25: Jordan Walsh, OG, Iowa (A+)
Walsh I feel would fit perfectly in the zone system. He is quick, smart, very good technically and at this point is a steal. Bye-bye Chris Hubbard.

Round 2 Pick 6 (S.F.): Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech (A-)
Personally I thin Fuller at 25 will be a very good value when it is all said and done.
Round 2 Pick 25: Jayron Kearse, SS, Clemson (A-)
Kearse is "The Freaks" nephew and looking at the 6-4 220lbs safety he is kind of a freak in that aspect. He is a little bit of a project but with the Eifert's, Gronk's, and other TE's of the world I feel a safety of his height and physical ability would be too much to pass up. We need a safety and I feel Robert Golden will be brought back over Allen and start but if this kid can catch on and learn the defense he could be a difference maker.
Round 3 Pick 5 (S.F.): Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama (A+)
Reed is a strong point of attack DT that is fiery and hard to move. As stated before I think we will need to spend a pick to solidify our interior defensive line and Reed would fit in nicely. Again probably being a rotational guy as a rookie but I don't see it taking long to take playing time away from Cam Thomas and again I just don't see McLendon not leaving for more money as a 30 year old free agent.
Round 3 Pick 25: Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor (A+)
Oakman will definitely pass the eye test at 6-8 280lbs and not an ounce of fat on him. He's a physical freak of nature and seemed to have bounced back after having some off the field issues. If you look at his stats with 46.5 TFL and 17.5 sacks you see he has the ability but definitely needs some refinement. But if we could hone his craft he's the kind of DE that you can drop into coverage, match up over center, stunt, and do about anything you want because of his natural athleticism.
Round 4 Pick 20 (NYJ): Nick Vannett, TE, Ohio State (A+)
I hate to say it but I am not sure Heath should be back next year. Not unless he comes with a reduced price and a reduced roll in the offense. I feel Jesse James is the future and if we drafted a guy like Vannett we at the very least cut ties with Spaeth. Vannett is an awesome blocker and underrated pass catcher. He isn't flashy but gets the job done.
Round 4 Pick 27 (G.B.): Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State (A-)
Do we need a QB? No. But Landry Jones is a FA after 2016 and I don't think we bring Vick back. So we let a guy who will pass all the eye tests and look phenomenal in shorts sit at #3 next year and learn the offense. Roethlisberger is 33 and will be 34 in March. I for some reason don't see him playing
past 2019 and maybe not past 2018 season. That will give us time to develop Hackenberg and to see if he's the guy all the while having Ben. Luxury pick I know but if Hack is here in the 4th you'd have to take him. Personally I don't see him falling past the Pats or the Texans in the second round.
Round 5 Pick 3 (S.F.): Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo (A)
Looking I found Hunt is returning for his senior season.
Round 5 Pick 25 (G.B.): Cole Toner, OT, Harvard (C-)
This kid has Mike Munchak written all over him. He's not a mauler or over powering but he has quick feet, size, and can mirror the defender. I think if you get him in an NFL camp with NFL coaches and training he would quickly flourish. I have a feeling Beachum is gone unless he takes a much smaller deal than he wants and even if he doesn't Mike Adams and Byron Stingily are free agents.
Round 5 Pick 28 (DET): William Likely, CB, Maryland (A+)
Go back to the CB position now that I feel I have filled a few more holes. Likely actually is returning to school but let me say this on the position at least. Blake, Gay, and Boykin are FA. I feel Gat and Blake get signed and Boykin has no interest being signed after getting snubbed by Tomlin. Golson comes back and hopefully becomes the nickel back we wanted him to be. That means CB isn't a big need but because I traded back I have the pick and you never know about injuries.
Round 7 Pick 8: Parker Ehinger, OG, Cincinnati (A)
Again I feel Ehinger is a good zone blocking fit. He's athletic, quick, and mirrors well. This should get rid of Hubbard and Foster is a FA too.
Round 7 Pick 25 OLB, Florida State (B+)
I think we'd kick Smith inside since Spence is a FA and Timmons isn't getting any younger.
