2yr deal. I don’t know the deals of the contract. Per ESPN.

PS.. feel free to correct his name spelling.

better than no one

Great pickup, still young, 25, great production in college and the pros. His measurables are comparable to DJ Metcalf and was much more productive at Ole Miss than Metcalf was. He has torched the Steelers over the years with 16 catches for 262 and 3 TDs. God, cheap pickupo for a guy that will be better than James Washington from day 1.

He's had a slew of injuries, if he can stay healthy he should contribute. From Bortles to Ben, he should be happy, lol

He should do well in our system especially with Ben throwing to him. He hasn't had an elite QB throwing to him since the Colts.

Pro Football Focus has him as the 86th rated receiver, but he did manage to play all 16 games last year even if he did have only 1 catch in a lot of them

Jags signed him on a one year prove it deal of $9.6M, so he got his money, maybe we get him for cheap cheap, cheap!!

His catches versus targets was 53%.....YIKES

But....I think Ben will correct that

He had a solid second season which was the only season he was healthy and had a good QB. Year 3 and 4 in Indy, he was injured and so was Luck. Then had had Bortles last year.

Montcrief is the type of guy they needed. They needed a speed guy to stretch the field. Washington and JuJu are physical guys. Without a speed guy, defenses may have been able to play them much tougher.

Great at least now we have someone who can step in and play day one.
I have always liked this guy. He ran a 4.40 and 4.35 at the combine only behind Brandin Cooks by a touch at 4.33 had a 39 1/2 inch vertical 11 foot in broad jump. He has decent size at just over 6'2" and 220lbs . He had Andrew Luck but only for half the time he spent in INDY because of the QB injuries and Blake Bortles in 2018 so we can call that a wash in Jacksonville.

Now pick a linebacker for some depth Shaquil Barrett , Zach Brown, Clay Matthews are all still available and will come cheaper during this second tier of guys still on the board.
Finally combine some of those draft picks and move up to go get Devin White ILB LSU or at least move up enough to grab Devin Bush ILB if there is no way to obtain D White
Deep field of Receivers to choose from in mid rounds for future development Riley Ridley, Deebo Samuel
CB in the 2nd or 3rd now that we have signed Nelson

He's a big fast target who can stretch the field deep, he'll draw attention away from JuJu which is the most important thing.

His ceiling is similar to Martavis... without the repeated suspensions.

He could be scary on the outside... maybe some X... but probably more at the Z position.

Great signing.Always liked the guy.

Yeah I think sorry *** Bortles had something to do with that. And even with that his stats weren't horrible. He IMO is no means the answer to AB. But he will help fill a void, and they need to still draft a WR high to give Ben yet another option.

You think about it in his career he has had ****** Bortles and a often injured Luck. Let us see what he can do with the number one passing QB in the NFL.

Another nice FA signing. Nothing spectacular but we have been active in the 1st week of free agency, which pretty much never happens. Two nice pickups. They tried for other players but who they ended up with should help heading into the draft and next season. ILB should definitely be the No. 1 pick now without question - especially if Bush is there.

Five Wide, *******!!!

As I dug into his situation the year he did have Luck his rookie year, second year Luck was injured a significant amount of games.

So you think about it that is like the majority of your career living in your moms basement and then one day waking up in a penthouse suite..

I give credit when credit is due, Tombert did their homework on their two pickups.;

Another solid, but not very flashy signing. I like!

Get us a LB of the like and I will feel better about going into the draft.

As long as the $ isn't crazy this is a solid signing, wouldn't break the bank for an injury prone player. He has potential though.
