Don't think Ray Rice will be defended anymore...

The NFL never saw the video until this week, and neither did the Ravens. Period. There is no reason to think otherwise.
While I still think Rice is a scumbag and this chick is crazy to stay with him, she has chosen to do so. She chose not to press charges, acknowledged she was equally to blame for the incident, they both decided to move past the incident and marry, has publicly supported Rice and condemns the media crucifying him. That's all we need to know, and the rest is really none of our business. It's their life, time to move on.

It's the business of women who are beaten senseless only to find nobody gives much of a ****. Situations like this one that are glazed over compound the problem.

What has happened to us as men? I'm reading posts from "guys" who try to justify the assault because she spit on him? She hit him first? She spits in your face, you wipe it off and stick out your chin. If she hits you, take it on the chin and leave. Where the hell is your pride? We as father's must be doing a lousy job at teaching our son's to be men, REAL men. I cant believe what i'm reading from some of you jagoffs.

Yet the Ben thing went away because of money. Right? Funny how you demand evidence for one, yet need none for the other.

You're not very good at this discussion using facts thing, are you?

I think some are stirring the pot to argue just to argue. Real men don't justify to hit women. We are being punked. That's my rational to all this crap I'm reading.

You wouldn't know a fact if it bit you on the ***. Your tendency to cherry pick sound bites and pass them off as "facts" while turning a blind eye to the obvious when it comes to St. Benny (and all Steelers, I would imagine), does not make you right. It simply makes you a hypocrite. I know your kind. Don't worry, though - You're far from the only one.

I know, I can't believe some of the comments either. Aside from teaching sons, I'm just wondering what they would teach their daughters. I'm guessing something along the lines "you reap what you sow". So 21 and Steel Not A Player would be ok by saying to their daughters, well you provoked it so you deserve it cause you're a grown *** woman. Sickening. And to hear Ray Rice's ******* wife is even more sickening. Good role model for your daughter Janay, not to mention for every abused woman trying to find a way out, I kinda want to punch you myself, from one woman to another. Show the world "real love" Janay, apparently I don't have it.

If she has a knife or is pulling out a gun, I might be able to justify that... and Floyd Mayweather should have just stayed in his cave and not said a word... He's the one everyone is bashing in the media as getting away with the abuse multiple times without it affecting him.

Watching that weasel with his beady eyes blinking 50 times per second on CBS, backpedaling and spin doctoring. Was the best thing I've seen on TV in a long time. If anyone still believes the horseshit he spread about spy gate, they are beyond stupid.

I have already stated, were there a video from the Ben situation, I would have wanted it made public. If said video existed, and the NFL didn't ask to see it, I would have also said they were at fault.
You have stated they are not at fault for not asking to see this video. You have stated there is no reason to think they saw it.

There is obvious evidence of abuse in this case. In Ben's case, the very first officer she spoke to, when asked "were you raped" she answered "no".

One of us is a hypocrite, but I think, as usual, you're mistaken about which one.

I said that earlier, that's the only way I could see him defending himself against her and I didn't see such a weapon in the video. We are to believe we're not seeing the whole video, it has been cut and altered, and RR's life was in danger from his FIANCEE in the elevator. Her spit is like acid and her elbow can break a running back's neck in a blink of an eye. She is freakin' freightening. I can't connect the dots here.

Would that be the same officer who was forced to resign for the way he handled the case, paling around with Roethlisberger and referring to the victim as a "drunken *****", among other things?

No, you are referring to the officer that was OFF DUTY FROM PITTSBURGH who Ben hired as a body guard.

No, it would not. Why don't you do a little research and come back when you have your facts straight. Ok?

What sad chumps we have in this thread, scratching and clawing at anything they can to lend legitimacy to the situation, from ray's perspective. Badcat, I agree 100%, seems that a man conducting himself as a man is just no longer fashionable in our culture.

Oh, really?

Sgt. Jerry Blash, the Milledgeville police officer who wrote the criminal report, has resigned from the department in the midst of an investigation into comments he made to Barravecchio that night. According to Barravecchio, Blash described Roethlisberger's accuser as "this drunken *****" and said, "This pisses me off, that women can do this." Sources say Blash—who had posed for photos with Roethlisberger and several other Milledgeville cops earlier in the evening—was dismissive about the sexual-assault claim when the accuser and her friends approached him that night. ... Milledgeville police failed to secure the crime scene, and Roethlisberger was never interviewed in any formal fashion that night or in the ensuing days.

This is why you people have no credibility when it comes to this incident. You are constantly making up your own "facts".

He wrote the report, he was NOT the first officer they spoke to. The first officer to take the report was the second officer the group approached, who then went to the club to interview Ben and the others. That's the officer she said "maybe" to when asked if she was raped.

I can post the pdf's of the reports, there are about 50 plus pages, if you care to read them. I have.

When Ben's investigation was on-going, I felt dirty and was not pleased with what is was accused of and dragging the Steelers through the mud. He wasn't charged, but he still acted like a rich, entitled athlete that got him into hot water, no matter how small it may have been. Alcohol and ego is not a good mixture. Saying that, if he was charged and there was video or legit testimony to justify his suspension or release, I'd stand behind it. I think the suspension was a bit much for being stupid in a college town. Did money make it go away? Who knows, but it's in the past and Ben is now married with children. I can safely say he has grown up and turned his life around.

Saying that, Ben and RR case are two completely different animals. There is video. There is B&W evidence and the NFL and Ravens have every right to suspend or release him. He represents the shield and logo of a mighty organization. Hopefully, Rice can do the same thing Ben did and redeem himself. Time will tell.

I said it on the board here then, and I'll say it now, if he was guilty, he needed to go, period. If there were a tape that showed what he did, he needed to go.

Only he and miss Down To **** know what went on that night, but from all the accounts, and from everything that was turned up in social media, it appeared her sorrority sisters were pissed that she was back there, and they were not, and they convinced her she needed to go to the police and say what she said. The DA went though the "progression" of her story in his press conference, and much of the problem was they way it changed at least 4 times. That's also why her lawer told her to stop talking to the police, because every time she did, it made her own position worse.

You can spin this **** any way you like, but I've stood by what I've said since day one on this, and it hasn't changed.
