Listening to Ben on his show this morning and he said he's not ruling himself out yet for this week but said he will take it day at a time and still has to see the doctor tomorrow. We'll have to see what Tomlin says in his presser coming up but thought it was great news that at least he stinks there's a possibility he can play this week. He said his foot is feeling a lot better so we shall see.

Rule yourself out Ben. We've all seen the "injured Ben" try and get out there, and it ain't pretty. Get healthy. If we can't beat the Stains w/Landry, we won't w/your injured *** out there wobbling around throwing ducks.

Okay if Ben doesn't play this Sunday who will be Jones' backup?

DogKilla will be backup QB, unfortunately.

Stay out and come back healthy after the bye week for Seattle.

Is Vick even healthy yet? Tyler Murphy backup then

Are mid-foot sprains contagious?

DeAngelo Williams will sit out Wednesday's practice because of swelling in his foot.

Coach Mike Tomlin said he would know more Wednesday. With Ben Roethlisberger likely to miss and Williams now questionable, the Steelers' offense could be in serious trouble this week. Jordan Todman would take over lead-back duties if Williams is forced to sit.

2011 against San Fran comes to mind. Agreed

None of us are doctors or know how Ben's foot feels. If he says he can go, I'd rather him out there than not

There is a bye week coming up... Id rather one week of the "Landry Jones one read spectacular show" than the rest of the season watching it... I just don't feel good about a gimpy Ben protecting a already gimpy knee against a meh team like Cleveland

The last thing we can afford to do is blow this one against the Browns or we're most likely done with another AFC loss. So if Ben can go then Ben should go this week. He will always give us the best chance of winning.

For some reason I believe Nix is a reserve QB.
If Ben feels good he should dress and Jones should start. With luck the Steelers get up 2 scores on the Clowns and Jones finishes the game. If not Ben should go. Steelers must win this game. For crissakes a must win situation with the Stains?
Gawwddd

Roethlisberger sheds boot, ahead of schedule

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Ben Roethlisberger has shed his walking boot and is "progressing ahead of schedule."

Schefter said he is still unlikely to play, but cautioned, "It's Roethlisberger." Ben refused to rule himself out earlier in the week, but the Steelers have been preparing as if Landry Jones will start. Even though Roethlisberger remains doubtful for this week, his quick progression puts him firmly on track to play following the bye.
