I think Ju Ju is going for the big money.

We need an O line.

He has proven nothing to get big money. The odds are more likely he signs another prove it deal somewhere....Probably somewhere away from our QB mess. So he may actually put up some production to get that big money

If he is #2 behind Hill and Kelce, he could put up some monster numbers in KC. I just don't see him being physical enough or good enough to get separation as a #1 especially against double teams.

I'd be really surprised if JuJu got big money. No one gave it to him last year and I doubt he gets it this year coming off an injury. I know the offense was limited, but his 8.6 YPC isn't going to break the bank. His best scenario would be going to a team with a good QB and a stud No. 1 receiver. His best fit is as a No. 2.

no chance he's going to be back. he knows damn well that, regardless of the money, his chance for catches will shrink and wither with mason rudolph under center. the steelers will have to massively overpay to convince him to stick around, while he'd be content with lesser contracts with other teams where he has a chance to be part of a high-octane offense. wouldn't be surprised to see him as a cowboy, if not a chief.

No receivers, no QBs.

Just focus on the trenches this season and let them and the team take a few lumps while they wait for a franchise QB opportunity. The lines will get experience. Kendrick Green will be 1 year closer to the end of his rookie contract and hope that Mason or Haskins shows enough to worth some trade value if you have to go that route to GET that franchise QB.

Applying bandaids to the hemorrhaging wound that IS the Steelers will do nothing but shore up another contract extension for halfway Mike.
I agree with a lot of this. We might consider trading some of this years picks for capital to move up in the 2023 draft to get the right QB.

Colbert is really good at drafting receivers in mid to late rounds of the draft. But of course we need pieces here when the new QB arrives too, and DJ and Claypool aren't enough, Washington will be gone, so we need someone.

However, can't see anyone throwing big money at JuJu, we've got so many needs in the draft, if JuJu signs for the right price long term cool, otherwise thanks and good luck.

I hope we can add just 1 very good, young 2nd contract free agent interior o-lineman, DL, CB, or ILB in free agency to take some pressure off the draft, we've got the cap space

Looking back on the draft, the Steelers were definitely expecting Claypool to develop into a future No. 1 receiver. With his size and speed, if you get a lesser version of Mike Evans, you have a total stud. Btw, Evans is one of the most underrated guys in the league. No one talks about him as being one of the best in the game. Eight straight season of over 1,000 receiving yards and 4 of 8 seasons with double digit TDs.
