Does anyone else think it's time to quit caring?

I’m like the others who say thy are less emotionally invested than they were in heir younger days.

For me this loss is not nearly as big as the San Diego loss in 1995. It more reminds me of our loss to the Tebow led Broncos in 2016, There was just so much more at stake in 95. This time, we still would have needed to go to Foxboro and win.

At the end of the day, it’s just a game.

I care, because we should've played Tennessee this weekend.

Like others have said already, it was the Pats cheating that was the final nail. I was on the edge after all the rule changes but that was beginning of the end. On the plus side, I was over this game 2 minutes after it ended and played with my dog and ate a bunch of ice cream. I like when they win but losses and insane management are more a point of interest at this point.

Other than the fact that t wasted a pretty good beer buzz I had going I'm good. Sure, I scream and cuss at the television until the final whistle. At my age I'm just not that invested any more. They pushed us around up front for four quarters, that was the ball game. Nitpicking all the dumb **** isn't changing it at this point.

I'll root for anyone who's playing NE the rest of the way. If by some miracle the officials let Jacksonville play next week they have the defensive set up to keep them in it and the running game to score points. I have a feeling all those little tugs and grabs that were let go today get called next weekend. Just a hunch. If the Patsies make the SB I'll avoid every sports station for two weeks and won't watch the game. No thanks.

ten or twelve years ago it would take me until we won again to get over a loss, over the last 45 years or so I have broken things, yelled at my wife and kids, and not talked to friends for weeks, today though? my five year old grand-son sat on my lap and watched the last quarter with me, when jax kicked the field goal I said well it's over now. Tristan said pawpaw can we play trucks now? I spent the last minute forty five and more with what is really important, never game the game a second thought until I got on here.

This loss would hurt less if Ben had 5+ years left but the clock is ticking and we aren’t going to see many more opportunities. Next year won’t be any easier. We were pretty much healthy besides Shazier, wasn’t good enough.

Way to absolve them of ****** play.

Oh come on dude

The team scored 42 points due entirely to a bunch of freakishly talented offensive players going out and making unbelievable play after unbelievable play after unbelievable play. The offensive players have *nothing* to be ashamed of

And the defense? Look.. that team has made Jordan Howard, Leonard Fournette, Jacoby Brissett, Brett Hundley, Jamaal Williams, Deshone Kizer, and others look like all pros all year long. This is a *bad* defense, and it is not for lack of effort. These guys are out there going hard, leaving it on the field, including today. But it’s been the same story all year - they just ******* suck. So they are either one of the sorriest collections of defensive players that’s ever been assembled on a Pittsburgh Steelers roster, OR the men leading them (Tomlin, Butler, Lake, Porter, etc) are completely incompetent and in over their heads. Either way, “not caring” isn’t in the equation here. And considering this defense has been letting mediocre NFL players have their way with them since like 2010, and no one from that defense is still on the team, I’ll let you deduce what that might mean.

regular season losses used to ruin the beginning of my work week.
but now i don't care for the past 5-6 years, usually i laugh because we lose to some bottom feeder team, it's mildly hilarious and never ceases to amaze me
playoff losses used to ruin me for weeks but now after a couple hours i move on. i still get a **** feeling the moment i realize the patriots* are going to win the lwoB repuS again but i have come to accept it over the years.

This loss was extremely disappointing, at the same time there are many fans of other teams who would kill to be where we are, legitimate contenders almost every year. Perspective.

I just figure we are spared the humiliation of getting another beatdown from the Pats***** next week. If by some miracle we had won then Br*dy would have put up 60 or 70 points on us.

Does take some sting out. If it was an AFC Championship game it would be different. If it was like New Orleans that lost a likely trip to the SB it would be worse. The Steelers record was bloated. Simply not that good.

So basically, you’re saying the coaches should make something out of nothing. If these guys don’t have what it takes, all the scheming in the world isn’t going to fix it. What we saw all year is them getting gashed on chunk plays and the ball being run down their throat. This isn’t pop warner. Coaches aren’t teaching technique. Either you have the physical talent or you don’t. Obviously, we have some gaps that you can’t fix in mid season.

I know we are too undisciplined and selfish to win a Super Bowl under Tomlin so it makes losing inevitable and not as hard to take.

Amazingly, I went about the rest of my day without even getting upset. Years ago I would have been so pissed I couldn't talk to anyone for days. Now that I have accepted the game of football ended years ago, and these young players care more about themselves than the team, it is easier to take the mediocrity.

So you have ****** coaches who can't evaluate their talent and cut the dead ******* weight. It's not rocket science. If they suck it's on the coaches who allow them to continue sucking.

Slept terrible last night.. some of those plays just kept running through my mind. Just a brutal loss IMO.
I wanted Ben to get two more rings before he hangs it up because we have the talent to do it.
At this point, I'd like to just see Ben in another SB.

i got there last year.
**** it. it is what it is. NOTHING that any of us say or do will affect the outcome of these games. i love my team, and will always love my team. but the days of me getting all up in arms over losing a ******* football game are long gone.we are a decade plus into this regime. we are going to get what we have been getting. cliches, atrocious clock management, an excellent assembly of wide receivers.
i'm 42 years old with an absolutely majestic life, my future is (somehow despite my best idiotic financial efforts) is completely set. i've got a hot piece of *** for a wife who ***** like we just met.yesterday at halftime i went over to a buddy's house and picked up an o.z. of some Girl Scout Cookie strain. i took that loss in stride tommy chong style

go steelers, but it is not at all everything to me anymore

**** it.
go steelers. if you don't go all the way. so ******* be it.
