Does 9-6-1 get us in?

They will end 8-7-1 because the refs will throw even MORE flags at the bengals than they threw at the Raiders.

8-7-1 will neither win the division, NOR sniff the playoffs. But it WILL protect Tomlin as the ONLY coach in the NFL with more than 10 years without a losing record.

The fact that Tomlin didn’t put Ben back in immediately will probably end up costing us the playoffs because everything else that went wrong was in-game and much of it a result. Ben was obviously able to back in and complete passes at will.

I think sneaking in the playoffs at 8-7-1 and getting undressed by the Chiefs something like 55-21 may be the embarrassment needed to get Tomlin fired. The league has known for years he is a joke, the national media is just learning .
 
I'm hating myself for thinking that the best that could happen to the team is getting crushed by the *s and saints, miss the playoffs and luckily the fan pressure makes the owner fire tomlin. Then we might have a chance next season with Ben on his last cruzade

Just curious as to what makes you think the ROONEYs adhere to fan pressure??? I would hope they do eventually but the real question is if enough fan pressure is applied and the time is enough and then they act??? Fans have seen this ****-show for many years yet no response from upper management.

well fans still fill the stadium, actually fill every freaking stadium across the country, so yeah, the Rooneys still haven't seen real fan pressure.

Also that's why I said "luckily" they listen to their fans, because they normally don't worry much about it.

They have a huge waiting list for season tickets. Always sold out. And that is only a small percentage overall of the money they receive.

They aren't sweating what fans think, unless it is impacting their wallet noticeably.
 
9 wins might win us the division as I don't see the Rats winning out. I don't see us getting a wildcard. It's the division or nothing. Sad thing, though, I just can't see us winning more than one of our next 3. I'm not even sure we can beat the Bungles. We'll see how bad this team is over the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, they will surprise us but I won't be holding my breath.
