OK, we're on the goal line with inches from pay dirt.....why don't we QB sneak Ben into the end zone behind our Pro Bowl center Pouncey???? We've seen Brady, Rodgers, and even Cam run this with success....WTF????

Why would you ever bother Haley with such common sense ideas, he is so far above all of us we should kneel in his greatness.

Cause Ben doesn't have the size to do that. Ben is only 6'5, 260. I just don't see how a QB sneak would ever work with inches to go.

we've been using a FB and an extra OLinemen for weeks now, if ever there is a time to use one, it's on the goal line. If you do run it without a FB, it better be straight ahead, nope we try some off tackle **** that takes so long to develop the unblocked backside LB drags our RB down in the backfield.

Any pass play down there should have been a play action. One of the 3 TE would have been wide ******* open.

You notice our play calling was bland all night
No revrses. No screens, nothing to throw off the defense. Really sad to watch as all our weaknesses on defense rose it's ugly head.

bullshit. 3rd and 1 early in the first and we go deep to Coates for no gain.
offense was hamstrung after Bell exited and it took us a quarter and half to get over that.

The offense is as hamstrung with Bell as we are without him. The Patriots DL was doing a great job of taking up space and not getting sucked in allowing holes for Bell. Bell was not going to put up 100 yards against them. I would venture to guess that most people knew that if we were going to win it was going to be on the passing game and our #2, 3, and 4 receivers to get the job done. Sadly, our receivers couldn't catch an STD in a Vietnamese ***** house.

Bell had 9 yards on two carries.
why wouldn't he have been at or above 100 yds? KC's defense was far and away better than NE's. Difference? We had Bell vs KC.

In my opinion that game was over before it was played, healthy Bell or not.

The Pats* were ranked 2nd in the NFL in rushing defense, KC was ranked 27th.

Belicheat is known for taking away your top threat and they specifically mentioned that they had worked all week on stopping Bell's running style. He had 6 attempts for 20 yards for a 3.3 ypc. Tomlin and Haley are too enamored with Bell to run a balanced attack that would also help to open up holes for Bell.

I 100% agree that we do not run a balanced attack. If we did, Bell would be even more unstoppable. Some of those carries Bell had were running right into the gut of the D. In those instances last week, Bell churned out yards.

**** NE's bullshit average, though. They face no one during the season, so it's difficult to validate their ability.

This. I pointed this out in another thread that someone said that we weren't aggressive at any point of the game. We went for it all on our first possession of the game and that jagoff coates dropped the ******* ball. Hell, he hardly gave much effort into catching it. He makes that catch, not only does he possibly score, but our offense opens up. From that point on, belicheat made sure no one got behind his defenders. I don't think I dislike anyone on this team more than Coates. Dude has totally let everyone down time after time after time.

Not even sure a sneak was gonna work.....I would have play faked to Williams and hit James in the corner of the endzone. Our line got owned on first and second down....Sneaking in that case im sure would have still gotten blown up

With 2 successive sneaks on the one foot line, I guarantee you don't end up on the 5. Much more likely you end up with a TD.

LOL, If you end up on the 5 after 2 QB sneaks, you fire your Center and Guards on the sideline after that series

After Bell went out the offense started rolling for a bit, but unfortunately did not finish drives. Losing Bell had 0 effect on the offense sucking. Dropped passes / poor execution and just terrible game plans on both sides of the ball caused the loss.

Get to the line, snap it quick and sneak it in just like Brady does all of the time. Odds are Ben gets in. If they stop you, then change it up, but no reason not to sneak on first down.

Spread them out 5 wide (*******), Ben steps up like he is going to audible, moves quickly under center and the line pushes forward on a 1 count snap. Their defense would have been spread out to respect the pass and then, most likely, you have our 5 lineman and Ben vs their 4 lineman. Thats a touchdown.

If you can't line up under center and trust that your pro bowl center and guard cannot push ahead for one foot, then your all pro guard and center are not that great. Trust the all pro players to get the ball in the endzone. The off tackle runs were stupid beyond belief.

I get the dislike for Coates, but no WR should rank higher on this list than Martavis Bryant. Granted, he didn't drop a ball all season, but he may have very possibly dropped a Lombardi.

I have no idea why the Steelers refuse to run the QB sneak with Ben. It's been the case for several years now, and it's infuriating. Especially when I watch Brady easily accomplish successful sneaks week-in and week-out, sometimes as far away as three yards from the first down/goal line.

I suppose it was a bit of a shortsighted comment considering that Bryant boned the organization and the fans. He definitely deserves his share of criticism. The thing with Coates though is that later in the season when he was out on the field, the guy just would not fight for a catch. He'd go out, miss it or drop it, then look for the flag. Each and every time. The play against the pats* was no different. He didn't even extend his arms for the ball. He had opportunities to make plays, and just didn't put enough forward to finish them.

You want to know why our road stats sucked this year... we cant audible out of stupid play calls as effectively in a loud environment
