No, but he was a truly great coach.
At one time, yes. I think he wasted the Marino years though.

They were not illegal in the 1970's. Or do facts not interest you?
That's really a weak argument. If they come up with a new PED that is not YET illegal, does using it mean you aren't cheating, because that is what we are talking about. HGH wasn't against the rules for a while, so using it doesn't mean you are cheating, right? I had lunch with Steve Courson - the hugest man I ever sat shoulder to shoulder with. He'd tell you something quite different about how the team heavily influenced players to use, even though it had dangerous side effects.
Another reason that proves everyone's point. The same rule should apply to all quarterbacks. The fact that Brady expects flags if anyone even breathes on him tends to piss off fans of opposing teams.
I read an article (sorry can't remember where, google it) that showed the only part of the nation that is pulling for the Pats* is the New England portion of the country. So, it's not just Steeler fans that don't condone the lying, cheating, and bending of the rules.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick called a surprise press conference Saturday to further explain his team's activities that led to the league's investigation if the Patriots intentionally deflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game against the Colts.
"At no time was there any intent -- whatsoever -- to try and compromise the integrity of the game," Belichick said.
"I believe now, 100 percent, that I have personally and (the Patriots) have absolutely followed every rule to the letter," he added.

Maybe 3-4 guys on that team used and ******* steroids were legal back then so you can stick that one. Try again. We know you love the Pats*** .We don't and we have no reason to like or even respect them.
I believe that all PED's are now illegal
You are not right in the head.I just see so many Steeler fans overreacting to anything Patriot. Other non-Steeler fan friends of mine have pointed it out, and I can't disagree with them completely.
What is the Steeler fan obsession of anything Patriot? Whether it's Belichick, Brady, Kraft...it just seems Steeler fans just are insane with overreaction and jealousy.
Me? Unless we are playing them, I have nothing against the Pats, as, I am a fan of sustained excellence and they are the best example of such in the sports world.
I even like and appreciate Brady and Belichick. They are driven, smart, put the work in and passionate. What's their to hate about that?
It's OK to admit another team's excellence. It's the adult thing to do.
Sometimes I wish Ben cared as much as Brady does about winning.
POP, you did a nice job of hiding your trollishness for some time. Congrats on that. Your efforts are far better than most.
On the other hand, you simply reject anything critical of the *Pats, in a circular fashion as Supe points out above.
So we understand who you really are. I hope your *Pats get thrashed in the SB, and that you cease your posts.
Now be a good troll, and **** off already.

I live in Texas and the predominant opinion is that the patsies are ******* cheaters.
Non-thinking Yinzer zealots make me laugh. You're like children (or maybe you actually are). I care little on who wins this SB. But if the Pats do, they will have earned it and there should be no whiny, crying hissy fits thrown by actual adult Steeler fans. We are talking about a little air missing from a ball, that was corrected by the 2nd half, and they DESTROYED the Colts, never was a game. Any yet, your adult conclusion is that the Pats only win because they cheat. Do me a favor: Move out of western PA and you will get a whole new, realistic perspective on life. I am convinced living in WPA is like living in a bubble and your perspectives are skewed and not based on reality. When I got out of there, I finally woke up.

maybe because they are reacting to the idiot box. Most don't have the ability to see clear of whatever the media is hyper focused on. Also, Texans would hate the Pats because they have been so successful and they don't want them surpassing their SB rings.

so did you read this article ???

Doing something that is currently legal (which means everyone else has the ability to do it as well, with impunity) is not cheating. Doing something that is currently illegal is cheating. Only a complete moron fails to comprehend this.
The Texans have no super bowl rings.
Which fan base has more fans in Texas, the Cowboys or Texans? OK, there, figure it out.
Not only have I read it, I used it to argue with others who claimed the Steelers BEGAN the steroid era in the NFL; I knew they didn't start it. But they seemingly perfected it. I just find it odd that those who think 1 lb if air pressure missing in one half of one game (in which the Colts were destroyed, never even a game at all) is 100% proof that the Pats ONLY win through cheating. That is imbecilic at best.
So a little cheating is ok with you, as long as it only helped them a little, not a lot? That's like saying cheating on your wife is ok if you only got a blow job and you didn't cheat for the first 10 years.
I've lived all over the place, and I still think cheating matters. Some of us never lose our moral compass, no matter where we live.
So, what if the Steelers have lip readers with binoculars trying to steal calls? Is that OK? Yes or no?
