Diontae Johnson breakout incoming? ‘It’s easy to me now’

The PI penalty thing is simply egregious. First, it is basically undisputed that for some reason, refs have been told to look for OPI on the Steelers. Anybody who doubts that is just not paying attention. The Steelers have been called for more OPI than any other team in the NFL, in just 7 games where plenty of teams have already played 8. That does not include one OPI that was declined.

Enough with the goddamn OPI. That call on Johnson was freaking terrible. Bad enough the replay announcer said it was a bad call.

What was offensive PI or what is defensive holding or interference could not be answered in the Monday Night game. Two plays in a row one called next nothing shows the total inconsistent officiating of games.

Related somewhat to what I posted above, I think the refs focusing on Steelers receivers for OPI is based in part on what happened years ago with the physical play of Hines Ward, followed by the elite handfighting skills of AB. Refs are simply conditioned to look for it, and it is human nature that if you look for something, you will find it.

It will only get worse as more rules are put in place to counteract rules already in place. The outcome of the game is increasingly being placed in the hands of the subjective refs and the New York City league office.

Is it me, or were the Steelers called for holding about a thousand times and Miami not once, that I can remember?

Oh,back to the original post, DJ appears that he could be special.

It lends itself to full manipulation of outcome always. It's crap. Just like holding. Holding is a laugher. That **** is going down on every play. We had a few that were complete fiction.

Dj is looking like the real deal!
