I lean this direction but leave the possibility open that he surprises. I think the scenerio is he performs quicker than anticipated and Washington doesn't perform to that above the line level. Because I think three Wrs will have looks in this O. Which three is up to them. Or maybe they rotate which would lessen his opportunities initially. Just some unknowns we will see. But not closing my mind to anything knowing opportunity is there with AB out the door.

Definitely possible but I really have a feeling Moncrief will establish himself as our No. 2. He and Washington have done some good things in the offseason and OTA's. I do like the Diontae pick better than on draft day but I still think he will be behind Moncrief and Washington, at least for the time being.

your list didn't prove anything. as has been stated, no one knows right now how much the kid will produce as a rookie. To claim he won't do much just because he is a rookie is short sighted. He has a chance to prove to Ben he can consistently be in the right spot at the right time and earn a key spot in the offense (as some rookies have done) or he can fumble around and earn a spot on the bench and produce very little this season....After training camp and a few preseason games we will all have a better idea of which way he is going.

My back yard is full of used BACON cooker experiments. Cooking bacon can't be a fail because , well after all, it is BACON. The used cars are there so I can rob parts durring my maniacal scientific construction of BACON cookers. I even have broken wind generators and worn out tires to collect rain water in....................... What's your point?????

He just needs to put it together. PFF had a stat for yards per snap, and he was under 1/2 yard (.41 to be exact). He got a ton of snaps last year. 526. He was usually on the field, but he was invisible. Case in point, at Baltimore 70 snaps. He was targeted 5 times. 2 catches for 17 yards. This is why I'm hard on Washington. How are you invisible on 70 effing snaps???

If DJ shows he can play, it may push Washington off of the field.

Like any rookie, Washington had to learn the ropes and that takes time. After a couple years, Bud Dupree's light is starting to shine, the point is that it is a process and each player has their own speed to get there.

this does not support your argument, since your whole point is that DJ will not produce much since he is a rookie. That is your point. The argument from most of the others is that not all rookies develop at the same rate and some actually perform well as rookies and DJ "might" be one of them. Right now we don't know which side of the scale DJ will fall on....None of us have seen him in live action against NFL talent.
