Did the Steelers Steal Mason Rudolph?

I do believe we found a Gem in Rudolph. Now, do we have the tools to coach him/make him better?

I think we do. Landry improved. That is one to support the question........

The bigger question is are we going to have a Rogers/Favre situation in the near future.

And Ben certainly couldn't just do it anyway, right? What are they gonna do?
Yeah and as soon as it doesn't work or he gets hurt and everyone finds out Ben went against the head coach Ben would be bashed more than he already is.
It's one thing if the OC doesn't want to do it, but it's another when the HC is against it. That would look great for your team captain to go against the HC calls.

Maybe, maybe not as I see the STEELERS winning a SB and Ben riding off into the sunset. If ben sticks another year after that the SB slump will get him. Rudolf steps right in. 2 years, maybe three max but the ending will be the same an easy transition. Ben won't retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire then retire then UN-retire...................................... With the structure of rookie contract and fifth year option (if applicable) we should be sitting pretty good on the cap value as well.

Nice cut up.

At 2:59 he'd better not throw the ball like that in the NFL or that's a pick 6.

It's amazing watching that cutup. Washington doesn't have to adjust to the football at all. He's running straight on every deep ball. That is how good Rudolph is. How many times do we have to see our receivers stop and wait for deep balls from Ben?

All the TDs in their history and not once was the ball underthrown to Washington on a TD. Excellent touch passer!

Exactly right.

My question is Washington fast enough to beat NFL DB's like that.

Exactly right.

He is fast enough to beat the #3 DB on most teams. Plus, he probably plays closer to 220lbs in a few years so if he cant beat them he will maul the **** out of them.

He can do it with superior Quarterbacking and route running. If Heinz and Rice can get open deep with 4.7 40s, I'm not worried about this guy, especially since he's a bigger bodied receiver and will win the 50/50 balls vs tiny DBs.

Hines was a 4.5 guy but I get your point...

I think Washington is kind of the “modern” receiver in that he could be seen as a bigger Antonio Brown, what you can think of as a “ cutback” receiver... with getting rid of the ball so quick from the qb you have a receiver that can get “yards after catch”... that’s critical and it’s something that the Steelers have really perfected... we have been at the forefront of the this style making or putting brown and bell as well as sanders and Wallace really, in the position of being considered huge stars. A lot of it is the way we used them... and Washington in this offense has huge potential. Get ready for a lot of jet sweeps.
