Devlin “Ducky” Hodges Official Prediction Thread....

Because they are stupid.

This. Doesn't matter if its Rudolph or Duck, dumb *** coaches will shackle them on 1st and 2nd
down and only let them throw on 3rd and obvious

You'd think at 1-4 they'd at least want to see what they have in Duck/Rudolph and let them play the rest of the year

19-33, 285 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

and a win

Defense has the same problem it had last year. It can't stop anyone in the 4th qtr. They had the lead last week against the rats then proceed to blow it. Until that gets resolved the defense is not back. The stats are almost identical to last year.

If juju doesnt fumble we probs win. Defense did enough to win

IF the defense does it's job JuJu never gets a chance to fumble. The offense on it's 3rd string QB had the lead... The defense didn't hold it.

Defense is not the problem with this team any longer.

Well, it's a problem if they have to be on the field a good majority of the game. They just can't keep up the same production & intensity if they have to be on the field because the offense can't sustain drives.

Correct...Until we reach the 4th quarter with a lead that is.

No pressure, Duck.

Amazing after Ben went down and Mason came in and tossed the ball all over the field in his back up role there were a bunch of "trade Ben threads". Mason's starts and is now playing with a game plan and everyone is down on him. He gets hurt and Hodges comes in and tosses the ball all over the field and.....you guessed it. Now people are saying Hodges is the next great Steeler QB. What do you think the odds are that he won't be tossing the ball all over the field now that he will be working with a game plan? Just maybe it will be more restrictive starting the game out. Hopefully, Hodges has a great game and brings home the victory. God only knows if he struggles. The "Bring back Dobbs" threads might just start popping up. Come on people!!!!

To me, they both look like young QB’s running the same, ultra safe offensive game plan. Their numbers bear that out. 15-20, 132, 1 and 1 isn’t impressive, inspiring or promising. It’s scaredy-cat, afraid to make a mistake football. The Steelers will never know what they have in Rudolph or Hodges playing this chicken **** offense. At some point you have to cut them loose and let them play.

It's a horrendous group of WRs out there as well. It makes it all the tougher.

I will take the scaredy cat plan. All I'm wanting is 6 wins to take the stink of that ridiculous ****** trade for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Like take a ****** look at Devin Bush. That is what a top ten draft pick looks like.

I predict you won’t see much of a difference from the QB play we’ve seen from the Steelers all year.

Sounds about right.

Fitz has been a upgrade at FS. He is worthy of a top ten pick.I have seen a difference with him in the backfield. With Davis a FA it makes the move even sweeter. As now they don't need to hunt for a FS and hope whatever castoff is available that they are good enough.

Sorry. A top ten first round pick should be a star. Not an upgrade. Fitzpatrick had a nice game against the 49ers and has basically been Sean Davis since. You can say he looks this and that. Watch the highlights. All the plays are still past the linebackers and in front of the safety. Same **** different pile. The instinctive play he made last night is what they need. But he has to catch that.

I think Hodges has thrown about 6 passes over 15 yards in last 2 games. 2 were intercepted and 1 was way short to JuJu on opening play last night.
We don't win last night unless they stuck to the short stuff.

Duck did not have to throw much. His short game is good. Scans the field well. Has a quick release. I’m shocked the coaches didn’t try play action with him more often.

His mid game was awful. Limited velocity. Can’t put the ball between defenders vs zone coverage. Too much air time.

Okay it was a road game 1st start.

He’s worthy of a top 10 pick for us. Agreed. In the first time in what seems like forever I like our DB’s. Well Edmunds is just all right.

With our schedule we aren’t picking in the top 7. Well a guy can dream. Come on Redskins offer us you first for our 2nd in exchange for Tomlin.

So duck gets the excuse that the wrs are garbage, but Mason just sucks... Got it. Both are executing the gameplan the coaches are coming up with.

Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge can see it. And they should also see that Mason will not be losing his job anytime soon.

Duck didn't win that game, he didn't lose it. The defense and running game are what won that game.

All the innuendo coming from the Steelers is that it would take MORE than a high first straight up for them to surrender Tomlin... like multiple firsts plus other premium picks... i think if they simply offered a first for a second and Tomlin the Steelers will turn it down... I wouldn’t, but I have no say... lol

Well a good thing he is just in his second season and has time to develop into a star. The potential is there we'll see.
