Devin Lloyd is round one?

Steelers are due for a defensive lineman I think it will be guy from Georgia but I think it will be walker he can play inside or outside… been along time since they drafted a true defensive lineman but maybe they will the run in our division is back

Better options are either at WR or DT/NT at 1.20.

After our discussion about your WR from ‘Bama last week Berm, I’m really looking forward to medical evaluation of him this week at combine. Anyone know if they make those public right away? I know we need WR but it just doesn’t “feel” like a round 1 luxury for us right now. But if that kid is healthy, it could get interesting to discuss that as an option.

As much as the idea of a Steelers LB with the name Lloyd on his back appeals no. My guy Jordan Davis fixes all their inside run problems and I don't think they are prepared to go ILB and give up on Devin Bush. I think as the year went on his coverage got better. They just need to keep their guys clean.
i think also intensifies the pass rush as well. Allows a rover LB to roll coverage which in turn gives Minkah a whole lot more range. Solves the whole D i believe.

i like the more stout, Devonte Wyatt actually. He's so much quicker and slipp-ier.

If tgey took him they’d still play bush over him… it will be like how heyward sat for three years while they tried to prove hood was worthwhile…. Three.. *******…. Years

They aren't overly quiet with their likes. They usually pick pretty solid first round picks.

So unless they reach say on Willis. Then I agree most wouldn't care for that pick.
Artie Burns, Jarvis Jones , Edmunds and Bush in the last 8 years show they are not quite solid in their 1st round picks.

Let's all hope you're wrong. I can maybe see Kenny, but that's just the homer in me.
Fix the damn lines.
Definitely agree. I still say we need a legit starter in FA for the DL and OL AND we need to draft DL and OL in the 1st 2 rounds. Make the lines a strength moving forward and everything else becomes so much easier.

The Dline should be fine with either a legit starter FA Or a top draft picks.
Now the Oline needs more than 1 player, so a vet free agent and a pick

Not really. Heyward has 2, maybe 3 years left. Tuitt should be cut and if not is gone after this season when his contract is up. Even if he is back this year, the odds with him show he will play much less than a full season. Alualu is coming off a major injury and if he plays, he will also be gone after this year. The DL is too old and needs multiple pieces brought in this year. Even though we saw some potential in guys at the end of last year, they were still getting run over by teams. That has to be addressed. Outside of QB, DL and OL are easily our top 2 biggest needs.

Right now both tuitt and alualu are under contract. While that stays true is because the FO is counting on them, if not they get cut and substituted but right now DLine would have been solid without tuitts absence and alualus injury. If we get a NT a la Javon Hargrave we are ready to roll. Backups like Wormley with 7 sacks and Loudermilk proving his value on the field as a rookie sure give some good rotation to the probable starters. Hopefully they bring back Adams too on the cheap.

I see other positions with worse situations, for example if you see at CB we have Zero starting players in the outside CB position, 0 of 2. That's scary.

DBL L OY D was gone each 3 times I tried drafting him.
I'm hard...

1 7th rd offense player out of 7 picks would not happen in a million years.

I got to watch Devin Lloyd a lot on Saturday's this year since I moved to SLC. He's gonna be very good but until we get a solution at DT/NT - another ILB would be a luxury pick so I see why you like him.

There might not be better options in round one and our NT was hurt last year. I think Alualu had something left in the tank. Besides Lloyd makes a lot of plays and can cover unlike Bush. We can draft a DT/NT later on in the draft. We need a lot.

Fair but Devin Lloyd will be LONG GONE by 1.20...

People say that about prospects every year yet guys "drop." There's a chance he falls.

Yep. Yet teams compound the error by failing to use picks to get those guys - Louis Oliver, Justin Houston, Desean Jackson, Lesean McCoy, Randy Moss, Aaron Rodgers, Dan Marino and a final guy that a team wisely picked up in the 2nd round when he was generally seen as a 1st round talent, LaMarr Woodley.

Depends where the QB's go. Mock drafts have him around our pick. Long gone would be pick around #12. I don't think he'll go that high.

What if Davis, Cross and Penning are gone? I'm assuming ekwonu and neal are definitely gone? And Gardner is gone too?
Love the kid drum Washington, CB McDuffie or Devontae Wyatt DL from Georgia. As far as LB goes I like Demons Clark, LSU and Leo Chanel from Wisky.

Meh - he'll be gone by 15 - write it down...

Yeah he'll be long gone by then say the man who wanted to sign Suh. See my post in the thread for those who say I wouldn't have drafted Lloyd . Also see my post the day after the draft on who I would have drafted. Lloyd, Pickens, and Corral. For a real hoot see 2019! This board needs a better search engine. Until the you'll have to look it up
