Deshaun Watson anyone?

The only way you can trade for him is if they basically dump him and they still pay for part of his cap hit. Nothing else would work but it would be nice to have him in B&G.

The Texans gave him a huge contract and in one year there are whispers of dumping him. Why would anyone bail them out with a trade.

they are in cap hell and limited draft picks, they rather trade their best assets while they can and start over from scratch

He is 25, if he is good he is supposed to be a part of starting from scratch and it is 60 some million more in cap hell if they trade him.

a co-worker yesterday suggested Watt and our #1 for Watson to get our next franchise QB for the next 10 years. I love Watt and think Watson is a true QB talent, if not in the top 5 in the NFL. His contract is locked in and Watt still needs to be paid, plus he would be reunited with his brother, which is ironically the opposite as some here wished for. That's a tough one and don't know if the Steelers could pull something like that off. Pure hypothetical, of course. Fun water-cooler talk.

the article is based on typical florio bullshit. his new rumor is Watson is going to ask for a trade since he was not allowed to give input in the new GM hiring.

**** any article that is using whorio rumors as a "source"

Watson is a top 5 QB and amoung young Qbs only Mahomes is absolutely proven to be better... Allen was looking subpar till he broke out this season and who knows what tge tiger king will turn out to be... Id trade 2 1sts for Watson, but that is a pipe dream... especially if Ben intends to play two or 3 more seasons

No one is trading a top five QB talent for a pass rusher. As good as Watt is. If someone is interested in that trade its because Watson is not a top five talent. And I've pretty much never thought he was.

If it could be done- I would do it in a heart beat. He has incredible accuracy on the scramble and good pocket passer. He has the it factor that lacks in Rudolph and even Mayfield.

problem is, whether Ben plays next year or retires, I think still has a 41 million dollar cap hit either way, unless they extend him. Watson has a 16 million cap hit next season, that's 57 million on two players.

The new GM would be fired on the spot if he took that deal. I don't think he gets traded but I do believe he's not happy with the organization. The best offer I've seen starts at Miami trading the 3rd, 18th, 2021 1st, and Tua.

interesting. That's a lot.

Baker Dozen doesn't use his "IT" factor properly.

Salute the nation

We're not tying up 80M in one position next year, same reason why Wentz will not be here on a trade.

Houston also has to figure out a way to keep JJ happy or they may have to cut him...

interesting. That's a lot.

Is it? Look at the Jamal Adams trade:

Jets get: 1st 2021, 3rd 2021, 1st 2022
Seahawks get: Adams, 4th 2022

If a safety, not even the best safety in the league, can get two firsts, the starting point for Watson is at minimum 3 first-round picks.

I think Watson's cap hit next season is 15 million, but same point we're not tying up 56 million up in the QB

I'd probably fall over if the Steelers ever made a trade like that. If that's the price, it's probably too rich for their blood.

A “source” told me Florio is an ***.

I’d reveal the source—but everyone wants to take credit
