Just giving a shout out to a 11-1 season and for the first time in school history they are going to play Aliquippa for the championship at Heinz Field. They scored 21 points in the 4th quarter to knock off North Catholic. Last year they lost to Aliquippa in the semi-finals. Aliquippa was HUGE compared to the Derry kids. I am not sure how this years team stacks up.

I went to that game last year. Aliquippa was incredibly boring to watch and Derry had no chance so we left before halftime and saw a really good game. Hopefully Derry is a better match up this year and can knock them off.

i believe Derry beat a team that beat Aliquippa. Not sure if that means anything, but should give them some confidence at least.
