I stopped get excited when they took the smash out of smashmouth football. It's just not the same to me anymore.

I probably get more joy out of seeing Darnell Washington wreck people than anything else in the game.

The cheating with the pats**** permanently altered my perception of the entire league and we never really got any payback on them. That's a tough pill to swallow.

NO, but it did rain earlier this week, and with us being in a “red-flag” fire alert drought………….

I was working on the upper deck (lawn / garden area by county road), so I took off my shirt and cut-offs to dance in the rain.

Unfortunately I had a pair of your underwear on (i found them in Coolies’ back seat, they were yours as your mom wrote your name on the back band in silver majic marker).

Can’t believe how much duck-tape I* had to use to “Tighten things up” in the waist but especialy the pouch area.

Couple cars came by and honked, but eventually a Deputy Sheriff came by and hollared from the road “ whats that all about”

I replied “I’m dancing in the rain, what the hell does it look like”…….

He said “ no, I’m talking about the circus tent down below the waist……..”

I just said bermuda underwear…………… he shook his head and drove off…………..

I follow steelers all year. I was sick and tired of tomlins act. My off-season excitement level would be a 4 on a scale of 10. But this year, new coaching and new players, my excitement level is 10. I want to see them play first myself rather than listen to a podcast speculate if new guy is any good.

Past level= 4
Current level = 10

Mostly agree, but I can't get to a 10 knowing Rodgers' limitations.

My biggest concern is that I think they're going to miss Gainwell, guess we'll see.

Yes, I do think they will miss Gainwell this year. He provided a lot of big plays last year and they most likely drop a couple games without him.
He will help TB big time and Baker will love him.

I am hopeful for a solid season.

I was not thrilled with the coaching hire at first because I thought he was too old and we needed newer blood.

That being said, I have slowly been won over by how he AND his entire new coaching staff had paid attention to detail and appear to be mentoring the players better.

Perhaps Coach Tomlin also did so but I failed to notice it

Thus I am hopeful for an improved and more disciplined approach by both the players and coaching staff to the game.

Tomlin was a players coach. I finally figured out what that means. TJ only wanted to rush the passer from the left side. Permission granted. Other players with special requests....Permission granted.

Now we hear of defensive schemes where the player MUST carry out the assignment. No more Permission to puss out.

I am excited that there is new across the board. Nothing motivates players like uncertainty. Gets those varsity vets sharping their stones, turning over all the rocks. Thoroughly looking over the blades of grass…. When they paint the barn they will use a spay gun and not a broad brush…..obviously.

Word on the streets is that we will still defend every blade of grass BUT in a massive schematic change will begin attacking the blades of grass in between the hash marks which were previously deemed a protected species by the past regime.
