Deflategate Investigation: Complete ... Awaiting Report.

Hehe...Pats* fans are having a meltdown over this.

My fear is this was over the top harsh in context and maybe on purpose, making it easier to overturn...

Patriot nation is funny though... and fairly ignorant of many things based on their posts... total meltdown over there..

the bottom line is this is a team that has religiously toed up to the line of ethical behavior, often crossing it... other teams started following suit.. an example had to be made. Im pretty sure BB will hasten his retirement if the eye stays fixated on them. I honestly think The league tried their best to whitewash this and when it never went away had to make an example of them... pats fans think Goodell screwed them when he has really let them off easy a lot of times....

.

Does anyone know how or if Marsha's suspension will affect training camp or preseason or the the run up to the season in any way?

.

He can participate in all of the above, but they'll need to spend time getting their backup quarterback starters reps.

Let me be clear here.

The Patriots cheated (again) and HAVE been severely punished. How a team losing their QB for the first four games of the upcoming season and their number one pick next Spring is being viewed a lenient here is beyond me.

This is different from the Sean Payton situation in that Greg Williams was part of Payton's coaching staff.

A QB has a relationship with the team's equipment people that often excludes the rest of the organization.

Do I think Belichick knew? **** yeah, but he is much better at lying and covering his tracks than Brady.

Given there was barely enough hard evidence here to punish Brady, we should be happy with this.

What's been disclosed would not hold up in a court of law.

He who is w/o sin......

http://yourteamcheats.com/cheaters/

highly inaccurate website meant to justify cheating.... saw it and debunked or accepted what it said the other day here...you are late to the party...

For the record... steroids in the 70's legal to possess by the US and not banned by the NFL... only idiots use todays laws to judge yesterdays players

Was it fair when Ben got suspended for 8 games (reduced to 4 for not appealing) when he was accused by two girls both found later to be lying? He never sexually assaulted anyone... that was proven, yet he was gone for putting the league in a bad spot... or how about when they made up fines and suspensions for legal hits midseason?

The Pats have a longstanding rep of pushing the line in every direction to gain an advantage... sometimes they toe the line, like the formations vs the Ravens, other times they cross it with arrogant disregard to the rules, like this... This was deserved... they should have suspended him for the super bowl.. he got off light

I hope the Pats take it to court and I hope the NFL reveals even more dirty secrets in discovery... I hope this ends with no football in Boston, and I hope they end up stealing the eagles out of Philly in a couple years... Lol actually I will be good with Brady just getting two games, but hey why waste a good rant....

According the NFL Total Access, it is in every NFL contract--management, coaching staff, players, etc--that ANY employee in the league must FULLY COOPERATE with ANY league investigation. Brady did not. This WILL NOT be overturned or reduced.

Another thought. The way that Belicheat threw Marsha under the bus makes me think that he may have allowed investigators to review his own communications. It seems likely to me that this is how the league was able to state so emphatically that the Hoodie was not involved (although I am not saying he wasn't).

the fact that they said he was not involved is a good indication he was as far as I am concerned

Wing,

I think you are probably right. However, Hoodie KNEW that if he didn't cooperate... he would be floating down the river. And I am NOT just talking about with the league. He may have even found himself out of the league or at the very least persona non grata in Boston.

I think there was some serious groveling going on from the Hoodie.

.

There is a lie circulating in pats world that Brady offered them some info off his phone, but if you listen carefully to the lawyer the reality is the NFL offered to allow his own lawyers to go through his phone and only give them what was relivent to the investigation... the lawyers for brady turned that down... claiming that the league wouldn't believe them...that makes little sense though... the more likely case seems to be that either the lawyers didn't want to know what was on the phone or lie about it, or that they knew the league already had texts and didn't know which ones.

who ******* cares about "the investigation"

it's huge fun just to see all the Pats fans whining and melting down

Kraft is a ******* spinless coward who cares more about the league than his team.

100% done. All NFL/Football related accounts on Twitter have been unfollowed and unliked on Facebook. NFL ball has gone in the trash and my Patriots gear will be going to goodwill tomorrow. Will be signing out of here and not be returning too.

This.

No way any appeal should even be considered. He lied, then he refused to cooperate. He forfeited his right to appeal.

As far as I am concerned, he got the minimum given the history of the team.

.........There are so many things wrong with this punishment. Ben R. got a 6-game suspention with BLACKMAIL to lower to four. He was not allowed to speak negatively / had to complete many things in order for the two game drop off suspention.
.........TOMMY boy, gets four, with a chance to appeal. He is as high profile as Ben. Tarnishing the shield, was the main recoarse, of Ben's punishment. Tommy's main recoarse, is to appease the public. Nothing to do with the crime or the shield. Amazing how different this punishment is. EVERY one thinks of tommy boy as being the best qb in nfl history, albeit, cheating is his best atribute. How can one say he is the best, when we really don't know what would have transpired with out the cheating? There are a lot of reasoning to dislike this fucktart (sorry to insult the tards), but the cheating is MY main reason. Can't change history, but definately can remember it well. I for one will not forget and will voice when needed.
.........Hoodie, nothing. Absolutely nothing. WHAT a joke this is. ignorance to the fact.... my @ss. This has been going on since 2007, don't fool your self intyo thinking this was just a one game thingy....... it wasn't. Hoodie didn't stand by, ignorant, this whole time. Having that turn over ratio, is something he counted on, to win games and "tainted" championships. This @ss clown has been giving it to the "rog" and all other teams, for a long long time. Cleveland, sucky sucky, Transformation of cheatriots**** , do the math. Suddenly this wife cheating butt head is a genious, and no one cares of how that happened. Evidence distroyed, nothing to see here, move along.
.........Robert kraft, what a tool. 1million dollars, not even an ouch!!!!! This baffoon came on national television and demanded an appology from us, the fans, the nfl, and all those who ever watched the game. He said this is not and could not have ever happened with the cheatriots organization. What a fluckingh joke of a person and integrity. Z-E-R-O respect for him, his organization, and all past records of time frame hoodie. Sharp stick (no lube) meet mr kraft's ***.

Salute the nation and fluck the cheaters !!!!!!!!

It (the ruling) is lenient because your not factoring in the "appeal reduction" piece.

Had the verdict been EIGHT GAMES - I bet no one would have complained - because - that verdict would have been/and probably will be reduced to half equating to a four game suspension.

At present, T*m will probably only sit TWO GAMES - thus the injustice...

Look, to any arbitrator, my point would be this.....

Did Brady lie... absolutely and without dispute... he lied when he said he didnt know the one staffer, he lied about the contact he had with both of them. Thats at least two places he directly lied to the NFL investigators.

Did Brady hinder the investigation? Again, absolutely. He refused to offer up pieces of information and acted inappropriately during interviews.

Was he a part of a prior cheating scandle? Yes. Even if he had no idea about any spygate era cheats (a stretch), he was a part of the team during its sanctions, so he should have known better.

Has the NFL suspended players without difinative eveidence before? absolutely. refusing to take part in an investigation or take a piss test is thought of as an admission of guilt, moreover in the drug program, you can be suspended for chemicals that act as masking agents and that occur in normal products. its the perception that you may be cheating that gets you suspended in that case, and it happens all the time.

Does the patriot organization have culpability in this... sure. they are responsible for what the players they hire do, just like if I were to wreck a company car into someone's house... the company is liable every bit as much as i am.

Did something happen to the balls that was illegal... YES. they were taken from the refs room in an improper manner. There was a conspiracy to do so. that in and of itself is enough to warrent action. the logical conclusion that they were deflated is less relivent than people think... they still stole the balls from the room without supervision.

Love the bandwagoners there who say they'll quit watching when Brady and/or Belicheat retire. Most Pats** fans were not aware that New England had a football team until 2001. Because they know that their team will suck again.
The Pats** didn't need deflated balls to beat the Colts 45-7 but there are too many statistical anomalies with the Pats** regarding home wins, lack of fumbles, pass completion percentage in bad weather, etc., and who knows what else, to believe that this hasn't been going on for a long time.
