it's a big deal because it's in the rule books, and obviously they've been breaking the rules for a long time. If it wasn't a big deal, then why bother putting it in the rule book.
Yup, if it wasn't a big deal they wouldn't bother creating a procedure whereby the refs inspect the balls prior to the game and then the balls are supposedly put off limits until right before kickoff.

Someone here said for Belichick to take a lie detector test.....OK, since you know nothing take the test to confirm. If it's the truth, it's on the player and this dies....if you lie, SB suspension and tack on next year plus loss of #1 draft pick for two seasons and minus $10M salary cap. Refusal to take the test is an admission of lying.

They can't win!
If the **'s win the game everyone will think they cheated. (Guess what. We all KNOW they cheat you dumbasses. Deep down you do too.)
If the **'s lose the game everyone will think they can only win if they cheat. (See bold text above.)
Watching the **'s flounder is SUCH a joy. Knowing the league won't do anything about it is frustrating but also knowing that this scandal has probably lost them all hope of credibility in the rest of the sporting world's eyes pretty well makes up for it.

I love how Patriot's fans say, well it doesn't matter. We dominated the whole game.. yes that is true. But the fact of the matter is that the patriots CHEATED, regardless of the score. Their fans can't seem to grasp that concept, it's like they think that organization can do whatever they want and they'll get a slap on the wrist, big deal.
Because that's what happened last time, slap on the wrist for 3 Super Bowls.
I heard a interesting theory on Jim Rome, some think they (Pats, Kraft, Belicheat, and Brady) will have Brady take the fall here, you know since Belicheat already deflected the blame to brady. So when the NFL makes their punishment, it will be just on Brady and not Belicheat or the organization.
It's quite obvious that that is indeed the Patriots plan.
Sounds about right ..and Brady has never really been in any trouble with the league...so it will be a 1st offense ..and he gets off easy...

I am shocked Belichick threw Brady under he bus, but like one article I read there are many people who would know if Mr Bill is lying or not. I find it hard to believe that both coaches would not be notified if 12 balls were removed from play. Although he is being contradictory already. He says football condition is not his thing, but yet he goes out of his way to make the footballs bad in practice. Bradys presser should be interesting
So picture Bellicheat as the Dad, Brady is the son, and the drugs represent cheating.

Brady's playing dumb too now. Equipment manager or ball boy to take the fall, no surprise there. Unless the league surprises with some kind of proof, they won't do anything other than a fine, if that, and move on.

No, they're confident Goodell will refuse to adequately investigate whatever the league DOES have or might have an opportunity to GET.
The only way to seriously combat this is to simply call out the **s to every fan you ever talk to from now until eternity as a team you simply don't count. The **s simply aren't really a viable team. For example. The Seahawks are already the champions this year regardless of what happens in two weeks. The **'s will cheat. Whether they win the game or not has nothing whatsoever to do with actual football. The **s cheat. They're not a real team, their fans don't deserve to be included in conversations about real football.
It's that simple. I don't ever want to hear anybody compare Brady as a top ANYTHING QB ever again. I don't want anybody to suggest that Bellichick is a decent coach or a football genius. All they're good at is getting away with most of their cheating and managing to get the league to go along with the coverup of how much bullshit they DO pull.
Enough. The **s don't even deserve our attention anymore. Sadly the AFC didn't even get a representative in the Superbowl this year. That's too bad. It's kinda nice to see a team go back to back again though. Even if it's the Seahawks. At least they can stop whining constantly about how disrespected and put upon they've been.
