I'm still not sold on us going secondary in the 1st rd next year. We're built like New England's D now. Using on the money on the front 7, and putting whoever in the secondary. I think we're a little smarter committing to Safeties in FA, but you have to save money somewhere on D.

This is an interesting point. We also won 2 SBs, and near missed a third with a strong front 7 and average corners. If we do have playoff success, it will be hard to keep all these 1st rounders on the team as free agency looms.

I always felt this defense was going to improve as the season went on....the growth has been impressive and the kids are starting to gel...we still have some blown assignments and tackling, while better is still an issue.....but by the time the playoffs get here, we should be a lot better.....

Great game by the D. Only real issue was the same one they seem to continue to have: covering the TE and small backs/recievers. Great play Timmons late in the game to deflect a pass to woodhead that looked like it might go for 6.
