Deebo's going to play another year!!

Sweet. He can still apply pass pressure - something the defense can use next season.

I'll toast to that

I love Deebo...he's the connection back to hard hitting football.

and he always entertains in what is essentially an entertainment business.

but it doesn't say much for your draft picks when you are happy about getting a 38 year old back to play average ball for another season.

He says not so fast, going to see how his body feels. Posted on Facebook in response to that article.

You must be new here. Welcome to SteelerNation.com. :towel:

I don't care if he's pushing 40, or 50 for that matter. He's still the baddest dude on the field when he's out there until someone else proves otherwise.

I'd love to see him play another year for the Steelers.

I saw that, too. There was also an article out today where his PR person reiterated that if his body isn't right, he won't be out there hurting the team, and he has a long way to go until if he knows he will be ready or not.

James has strong principles. Always has. He made his kids give back "participation" trophies because he felt "participation" wasn't a good enough reason to get a trophy. That is awesome and hilarious.

We need more Harrison's out there as fathers.

I think he might have enough left in the tank for situational football. I don't want to see him trying to pass defend out there. Throw him out there on obvious passing downs, and he can still add to this team.

And no one can deny he brings grit and toughness to the D.

he has PRIDE...something missing with the younger guys in the league.
Plays hard and never stops. Hope the others are learning that.

Welcome back!

He got a few with the bengals, so they don't count for his steelers total.

He had 2.5 sacks with Cinci. He only needs 3 as a Steeler to tie Gildon.

Not 1 but 3 my b

What sucks is that he'd have 40 more if the refs would ever call holding.

I hear ya, we got yinzers all excited about Deebo and Wee Willy Gay. I'm surprised that Allen and Blake don't have fan clubs. But hey...the standard is the standard and if I was to appreciate a 38 year old playin' pro ball, it would have to be Harrison....truly one of a kind.
