To Redskins? Just heard on radio no links

Yeah I saw that earlier. No big loss! We need to draft our WR in the first round.
Deebo has a lot of miles on those tires. I’m glad that didn’t trade for him and his pricey 2025 contract. Not worth it!

If he is near as good at his position as OUR Debo was here, he would look good in Black and Gold. It would just come down to if we would have used him properly ????

They got him for the same thing the Steelers gave for Williams. A 5th

He would get a ton of flags and really screw it up for us.

It's only a 5th because Wash has to take on his huge contract.. Deebo has not looked good lately. The 49ers paid Aiyuk because they knew Deebo was on his way out.

Regardless of the Deebo deal, that was such a ridiculous overpay for Mike Williams.
It was a desperation move. They should never pull the trigger based on that.

It is like grocery shopping when you are hungry.

You end up with crap that you don’t need.

No you preplan and get the brand of sausage and bacon that makes that taste difference.

Otherwise you are just left with a bad taste in your mouth.

All about the asset allocation

That 15.8 million could easily plug 3 holes with 5 million dollar starters from the free agent market.

Too many needs to spend that coin on that guy

Deebo would’ve been a waste here. Tomlin doesn’t target the middle of the field.

How we used him. Agreed. Same with the LBer from Green Bay.

Another view would be———— a ridiculous use of Mike Williams.

Was he really that bad that they couldn’t put him on the field of play? Is our Offense so complicated a vet such as Williams couldn’t Learn it?

I get what you’re saying 448, but if the overpay is correct…… then I question our talent evaluation and GM for going through with the deal.

Don’t fear, Tomlin is not immune in this decision. Because Tomlin has his hand in every pocket / aspect of the team, I’m sure he signed off on this decision.

We needed WR help, Kahn went out and got what was believed by many, to help with the answer.

From what us fans saw, definitely over payed for the witnessed value. I also feel he was definitely under utilized for reason unknown to us.

SteelerFan448, thanks for all your great & thought provoking post(s). Appreciate you.

Great post and analogy slash, appreciate your insight.

It brings up my argument for quite some time now, PRO-Action or RE-Action.

For all eternity, Tomlin & Co. seem to be re-active in decision making. They get themselves dug into a hole and have to knee-jerk re-act to try to make a fix. It5 has been this way for as long as I can remember in the TomLinized era.

PRO-Action would have been obtaining that WR during FAgency. Even Mike Williams would have been a pro-action choice on had it been done at the appropriate time.

Re-Action brings in the Vienna sausage or the canned Spam, where as PRO-action brings in the “spicy” Italian sausage and true Pork steak.

It takes months to retrain a vet WR that the middle of the field is off limits. come on man!

It's only a 5th because Wash has to take on his huge contract.. Deebo has not looked good lately. The 49ers paid Aiyuk because they knew Deebo was on his way out.
And they still dumped Deebo with Aiyuk's injury.....maybe Deebo doesn't have much tread left?

Too bad, he was fun to watch, and could be a very dangerous #2 to help McLaurin. He reminds me of Anquan Boldin as a receiver.

Aiyuk is also supposedly on the trade block. We aren’t going that one again.
That'd be odd trading both injured starting WRs with an injured RB.....may speak to how injured they really are...

Deebo is the type of player that Steeler fans woulda loved had he been one of ours throughout his career. But at the price both in trade and contract combined with piss poor coaching it would’ve been a waste.

I mean Williams was a guy that the OC was never gonna put in because he isnt a great blocker and he isnt the superstar Pickens can be..

If you were gonna bet on a guy to catch a deep Td and your picks were williams or Van Jefferson, its old man Williams all day long.. but of you want to block in the run game, its can Jefferson over Williams or Ca3 or Sottie or pickens..

I dont know what people dont seem to understand Tomlin wants to play clock kill offense... he doesnt want a 2 play, 28 seconds TD drive.. he want a 15 play 10 minute field goal drive...

Willians is a guy for a quick strike O. Our O is just there to give the D a break

Stop me if you've heard this one before...

Aiyuk is on the trading block...again? lmao. Saw it on the NFLN crawl and all over X.
