It's such peanuts in the scheme of things. I mean the guy came off a 2-year, $2.75 million contract with a $500,000 bonus.

Just do the same thing. Does he want a raise? Give him a 2-year, $3 million deal with $750,000 bonus and $1.25M base salary.

It's really not going to effect the salary cap at all.

Just the amount of time for us to draft Carl Lawson in the 1st and get him in the Deebo training program, the guy is never injured and playing into his 40s at OLB, ridiculous. That should help Lawson's injury issues, giving us top 5 talent for years at pick 30.

you can give him a 5M 2 year contract with that bonus and base salary. He has more than earned that money

2 year, 4 million total including $1 million signing bonus, $1 million base in year 1 and $2 million base in year 2. I'd do that for him. Even if he falls off, it's not a huge hit to let him go next year.

I think he will want 4 mil per season. His old contract was in regard to being a part-time player, yet he finished the season
a full-time starter. He has the leverage in 2017, they need him to start at least the first half of 2017.

let's get to a midpoint, 3M per season

if he says he has 2 years left in him then dont wait sign him and tell whether it is tim Williams, please not McKinley*,(jarvis @ mingo pt 2), we need a guy that can run in the 4.4-4.60 range thus if Peppers by the combine can put on 20 LBS take him at 29 and rotate as he has playmaking skills all over him and then if Butler wants to run that ******* cover 6 or cover 2 you could with Shazier and Peppers dropping into space with 4-5 man rush wiith Heyward Tuitt Hargrave Dupree @ Harrison. TJ Watt is another guy I would take a good look at.

Yeah definitely sign him, another guy we can't afford to use in coverage, but still damn good vs the run and rushing the passer.

Sign him. When I saw this on the ticker last night, I don't know what depressed me more; the fact that a 38 year LB lead the team in sacks, or that 5 was enough to be the leader.
