It's such peanuts in the scheme of things. I mean the guy came off a 2-year, $2.75 million contract with a $500,000 bonus.
Just do the same thing. Does he want a raise? Give him a 2-year, $3 million deal with $750,000 bonus and $1.25M base salary.
It's really not going to effect the salary cap at all.
I think he will want 4 mil per season. His old contract was in regard to being a part-time player, yet he finished the season
a full-time starter. He has the leverage in 2017, they need him to start at least the first half of 2017.
