DeAngelo Williams anyone ?

signed!

looking at his Twitter account, seems DeAngelo fits the character mold the FO likes. Doesn't get in trouble, is respectable and tries to make a difference.

I hope he can stay healthy. If they draft a RB too, I'll be very pissed.

So you'd be happy with Dri or Harris as the third RB? Not knocking you. I think Harris has some speed and potential. Just wondering if you're really comfortable with those two.

Bell is not going to get 4 games. That's just some dumb reporter talking completely out of his ***.

I hope you're right. Four games seems to me way too excessive for this first time offense. Geez what some of these guys get away with and get far less.

I just hope he can stay healthy. We are going to need him and that's been a negative for him over the years. I think he has some gas left in the tank but health will be the question.

Someone already posted the link of what the story was for anyone to read it. Regardless of what makes sense, is fair or is even just, we have to contend with the whims of Goodell. He may need to start cracking down on folks to divert the attention from the cheating scandal and the cheatriots. I would not at this point consider anything he did out of the realm of possibility when one is trying to exclude it based on history, common sense or justice. In fact history is full of huge inconsistencies regarding punishment and or fines and suspensions.

If Williams can stay healthy, I am happy to have him. Don't get me wrong there. But, at 31 with 9 years under his belt and his injury history, that worries me. I haven't heard any details but I'm guessing the deal is only for a year or two.

Why? We can get a really good RB prospect in Round 4 or 5 this year. Very deep crop of RBs.
Now, that they have 2 back up RB's, they need to focus on D. No true need now to draft another RB. Bell, Williams and Harris are the top 3.

He says he's happy to be here and has a lot football in him and a lot to prove. Sounds good, so far. A change of scenery is what he may need.

He's a Steeler now so I'm happy with it. He's the type of back we need to back up Bell and to spell him. Get to training and stay healthy for a couple years and we'll be all good.

Man, ole KC has put on some poundage over the last few years. Haven't seen a pic of him in awhile.

That is our new running back? Site says 5 feet nine and 215 lbs, was he holding a major kitchen appliance to get to that weight? The guy looks tiny.

“Trust me when I say that I've got a lot of gas left in the tank and a LOT to prove!” Williams wrote on Twitter.

Williams dealt with a pulled hamstring, a high ankle sprain and a fractured finger that cost him 10 games.

Even though he has been labeled as injury prone, Williams missed significant time just one other time, in 2010, when a foot injury landed him on injured reserve and kept him out of the final 10 games.

If DWill is healthy, he's going to help us. Being burned by Blount last year, I'm presuming the Steelers did their homework this time, making sure he's comfortable in a back-up role. Surely team doctors have given him full clearance as well. If all checks out, he may be the perfect 1-2 punch behind Bell. Welcome to the Burgh DeAngelo!
