DeAngelo Tweeting Again

Stupid comments made by Williams and dumb timing. When a player like that retires you look at their entire career and not nit pick their final few games.
I'm sure no one here would've had an issue if Terrell Suggs would've tweeted how Bettis wasn't that good his final season on the day he retired.

Watch what you say Steel G, Williams is a Steeler, so he can do no wrong. ;)

Same thought, same time!

I hope there's still some rational people out there. Not sure what got into DWill, he's not a show boater on the field and had lots of people in his corner about his battle against the league with wearing the pink. But then he gets injured and it seems like he's been spouting attitude ever since.

Although I don't flatter myself that anybody reads my twitter posts, this one 'may' actually get some blowback...

@DeAngeloRB feels Manning's play was weak in the playoffs. Probably easy to see from his vantage point on the sidelines. Love ya D, I do.

I agree with deangelo. Read the context of the twitter debate in full. Manning was a great QB over his career, but last year he was utter crap. His defense carried him to the championship. he should have been ashamed of his performance down the stretch. They won, but if they had a guy with a real arm that might well have been their second straight win... He held that team back the past few years and its well past time he hung them up.

If I had a twitter I would let the world know everytime I dropped a turd. "Brb guys, aboot to take a ****"

I didn't know you were Canadian.

Should Ben give his first ring back? He had a worst QB rating than Manning did, and Manning did throw two TD's vs New England in the AFC title game. While alot of what he said may be true, it was the wrong time to say it, and why say it at all? Was he asked what he thought of Peyton's performance down the stretch? Even Tomlin tweeted DeAngelo and told him to stop.

Williams is acting like Mendenhall used to, using social media to come off like a complete idiot. Hel needs to STFU!!! Manning won a Super Bowl and has retired. Don't rain on his parade, but as they say, "hater's gonna hate"!!!

Maybe Tomlin did text him to knock it off, and that didn't work.

Nobody is saying to give it back, but the manning dick sucking in every playoff game, the week leading up to the super bowl and then the super bowl itself was enough to make anybody vomit based on his body of work for that year. The media focused solely on manning when he was just along for the ride. Hell, he did his absolute best to give two of those games away. For the record, I don't care if it was a steeler player or not who said it so the whole "steelers players can do no wrong" doesn't apply to me Atleast. Could he have said it at a different time? Sure. But that doesn't make what he said any less true. In all reality, this really shouldn't even be an issue. A player stated his opinion of the guy on a day when EVERYONE was talking about him. Who the **** cares? Surely, Forrest Gump doesn't.

You get the feeling Tomlin expects more out of Williams, maybe Tomlin see Williams ahead of Bell????

Eh, not really necessary for DeAngelo to come out and Tweet, but if that's how he feels that's how he feels. I wouldn't have done that or encouraged anyone to, yet half the people on this board were probably saying the same thing at some point this season. Given that DW is a colleague of Manning's, you wish he would have taken the high road.
