Your presence to the team has been missed already. Say hi to your dad and Coach Noll

A true giant and despite being very wealthy he seemed incredibly down to earth and caring of his community. Condolences to the Rooney family and the Steelers.

Very sad news. You will be missed Mr. Rooney.

My condolences to the Rooney family

Rest in peace, Mr. Rooney.. you'll never be forgotten

Such sad news, may he rest in peace.

From father to son.

He has given us something to root for every year. Year in year out.
More SBs wins than any other franchise.
A good man.
How many reports did we hear bout how he was loved by players, etc.
Every time I saw the man at Latrobe, always had that calm nice demeanor about him.
Every single day he was available to the players in the office,Walking around interacting.

Make no mistake about it Steelers Nation. Today we lost a great one

We mourn

I mourn his loss......................

Rest In Peace Mr. Rooney.

RIP boss! :,(

Steeler Nation is behind you

A truly sad day. That family makes me so proud to be a fan. Condolences to them in this difficult time. Mr. Rooney did so much for the league, this organization, and this city. With the way things are going now he was really taken for granted. Theres more Id like to say about that, especially on this board but Ill leave it at that for now. RIP

Condolences to the Rooney family, the Steeler organization and Steeler Nation.

While this is a sad day, the tremendous impact Mr. Rooney had on so many people, even those he never met, should cause smiles and fond remembrances.

Very sad day. RIP Mr. Rooney, condolences to the entire Rooney family. From Antonio Brown:

"Dear Mr. Rooney,

When we first met in 2010 you embraced me with open arms. You made me feel welcome. You looked at me as more than just another jersey number. One of the most genuine, and humble human beings I've had the pleasure of knowing. You motivated me not only to excel on the field but also in life. This season, the number 84 on my uniform will represent the 84 years you spent on this earth making an impact on the lives of others. I'll miss you my friend. Thank you for everything " -AB

Well said, #84.
