Dalton has a fracture

oh contraire, mon frier...

If I'm Aj McCarron I'm banging that chic silly right about now! Ooooh Fuh! She's Too Sweet!

Gets in the Game and doesn't even come close to winning.... yet compares himself to Tom Brady. Wow. ok there Pumpkin.

If that is his thumb, its a complete fracture below the knuckle. Since it's so close to the joint, it will require surgery. Complete fractures are 6-8 week injuries. On an NFL Quarterback's throwing hand, he will not play again this year.

Although I do question if that's Dalton's thumb in the pic, rewatching the replays his bone didn't appear to penetrate his skin as he was walking off or in replays.

Gaaahhh!! Is that really Dalton's thumb???

Tuit's kneecap is one baaaaaad mothaf......

Dalton, the QB of the team from the Queen City, has a nice manicure.

Our QB, a man's man, can't even spell manicure.

He's done for the year. No way he comes back from a fractured thumb on his throwing hand in under 4 weeks. They're going to check to see if it needs surgery today. Tough break for the Bungles but if you believe in karma, sometimes that bell rings loudly.

McCarron played pretty well in relief of Dalton yesterday. ...and did so against a pretty decent defensive unit. With starting reps and a few weeks to prepare for the Playoffs, he's going to be fine. He's a big, strong kid with a good arm...and he (unlike Dalton) can really drive the ball downfield with his throws. When he wasn't throwing mis-placed WR screens, he was throwing lasers into the Steelers secondary.

On the other hand, sometimes it's easier to enter the game unexpectedly and play loose (Landry Jones anyone?) than to have a whole week to think about how you need to save your team's playoff hopes and prevent yet another end of season choke job.

I also think the Steelers went with more vanilla defense when the backup came in. It seemed like we were sitting back in cover 2 and waiting for him to make a mistake most of the time.

Defenses have nearly a full game of tape now to work with......he will have to make adjustments himself

I wonder if they would consider a package deal trade of McCarron and his girlfriend for Vick, our most awesome backup. Quality backups are hard to come by and we have one of the best, but my guess is that they would not be willing to jettison the girlfriend

I feel bad for Daulton. He's a great QB and was enjoying the best year this season as a QB in the NFL. Now he's injured, not because we hit him hard, but because he had to tackle a guy twice his size that just intercepted him. It's the epitome of Bungles football. It sucks because everyone wants to make fun of his haircut, or 'he can't win the big game' and paint him as a clown. Dude is better than Flacco and still is improving. He is their franchise QB, and we'll be dealing with him for years.

I feel bad for their franchise because I'm watching the game, and play after play, I'm saying to myself "this is a great game". You live a rivalry matchup that gets physical and chippy. The Bengals are now our rivals, not the Ravens. They took Bell out twice, and we come back with a QB. This **** breeds hatred and nasty play. You watch, the playoff game will be bloody.

Im fairly sure i am still banned at gobungles... A shame, really... That game did not deserve any kind of good sportsmanship from anyone involved... Including their fanbase..... You dont want your franchise qb to break a thumb... Tell him not to throw picks to defensive linemen.... Not the steelers fault anymore than the extracirricular **** the bengals started...

I think you overrate Dalton considerably. He was having an excellent year, but he is surrounded by top end talent at every area on that offense and a defense amongst the stingiest (in terms of allowing points). He's nothing special if the talent around him isn't there.

I don't think the Bengals have overtaken the Ratbirds as our top rivalry. It's still the Ratbirds and the Bungles are coming on strong in second.

Agreed for not but I think Burfect may be making the needle start to move towards the Bungles
