D-Will embarrassing himself on NFLNETWORK

One things for damn sure. Id pay 50 bucks to watch the exchange after they cut to break. Chances are high Id be dissapointed, but I would pay.

Perhaps D-Will 'knows' more of the "unspoken myths" about the Patriots, as a former player and employee of the NFL, then the talking heads? As long as he didn't act like Emmitt Smith up there - I find no fault in his performance. Nothing at all...

then there's something wrong with you

this thread is full of guys thumping their chests for d-will because it makes them feel more "like a man" to see someone who used to be a Steeler make an *** of himself and "put those ho-ho-homers in their place", it's pathetic. that said, i never watch that godawful show or anything else on NFL Network, save for actual games.

My two cents.... you can keep the change if you want.....

1. If you think D Will was right because one guy had no experience and another a career at Princeton, then what are we doing in here?
I certainly haven't got a resume any better than that to speak of the game.

(Just because I don't know how to make beer, doesn't mean I can't enjoy them or have opinions of which ones I like more)

2. William and Mary isn't necessarily a football factory for NFL players, but one of their players has been coaching the Steelers for a while now.

3. D Will doesn't need to have a show because he has enough money....
Congratulations, that money came from people who didn't play football who enjoy watching the game on tv, buying Budweiser, colors light, chevrolets, toyotas, and other products the network advertising partners sell. So you may not want to bash people who haven't played in the league.

4. Go Steelers! (If I'm allowed to say that)

I am floating somewhere in between.

He ribbed them and they needed to have thicker skin, but at the same time he came across like a ***.

Like was mentioned the butthurt could have lessened the blow, as well as he could have thrown out his stance perhaps a little less assholish.

See in the heckle game, I have heckled with the best of them at Steelers bars.

D Will was a bear, and they acted like butthurt little *******.

But the show is a opinion show, so I am thinking you don't have to be a ex-NFL player to have one.

So if you have a bear sitting with you breaking bread. And then you take a few swipes at them.

Don't expect the return blow to be subtle.

Whats the ol saying?

If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen.

1. I do and I won’t and don’t go on television spouting my NFL prowess as a commentator. These guys look like they just came back from a “manny-petty” together.

2. You’re right about that. W&M isn’t a football player factory, but it is a School of very high academic standards and MT wasn’t brought in to PLAY in the NFL. He had “football smarts” (some may argue) and was hired to coach receivers (his position) and then DBs.

3. If DWill had a show, I would watch it. He is great and unpolished. I can appreciate that. Much like Terry Bradshaw was (is) when he joined Fox. A pro telling us about his game from his perspective. Classic. Same as a beer. Enjoy and get ****** up if wish on tailgate beer bongs. However, if a brewmaster is talking beer with you, you should listen. Don’t have to agree, but he has a “hands on” perspective you can’t fully appreciate and probably won’t be drinking Budweiser. However, it’s a window into their world. Or join a blog. Those are good too! ;)

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion. But when you are paid a shitload of money for your opinion on football and in the case of Schleger you have played as many football games as Kay. I dont know. I can have opinions on the military. I can study military history. I can read about military tactics. But Ive never been in combat. My opinion doesnt carry much weight. Dwill made a critique of people who analyze football but either never played or played some. They know the numbers. But numbers can be manipulated. But they will never have the feel. He is correct.
There was a lot of outrage about Juju. But if you played the game and know how you have to screw up your courage to take on a guy like that, i think the standing over was really a natural reaction.

Am I glad he stood up for his former mates when no one was giving them any love? Absolutely

Am I glad he challenged people’s opinions and didn’t allow them to dictate the content just because it’s “their” show? Absolutely

But wow, stopping to personal insults and sticking to that was cringe-worthy and disrespectful. On top of that, a much better point can be made with facts and reasoning. Tell them why their ideas are wrong, not why they as people don’t get to talk about football at all

exactly!

And let's be honest, yes, those two are douche bags. But if ANY ONE of us was sitting there, and DWill was acting like that to us, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US would get pissed off. I'm calling bullshit on anybody who claims they wouldn't.

Yinz obviously haven't been around hecklers much.

Perhaps one time I would have been pissed, at a younger age.

Now I would just heckle back and smile.

Because I can be a big ******* too, very capable.

hi

The problem is, the people on that panel have the same experience as Coach Tomlin. You saying Tomlin can't talk football, or have a feel for the game, or understands football? That's where his argument breaks down.

I wouldnt have gotten into an arguement with him about it. And I sure as hell wouldnt have pulled out my one year at Princeton as proof of my knowledge. If he kept coming at me I would have let him make an *** of himself. But they answered back.

The one dude played one year at Princeton. He was a better player than me by far. The other dude couldnt be on my youth football coaching staff. Tomlin played I assume a full college career and has coached Pro for what 15 years. Those resumes are not the same. That comparison is inacurrate and unfair.

Kay Adams is definitely a little cutie!

Not a fan of him on TV. But I hear there are some openings on the NFL Network.

GMF is just another time slot filler, the show with all the cuteness and ha ha ha stuff is turn off TV after say ten seconds at most.
