Cowboys Offered First Round Pick to Steelers

1 ) I'd take it the deal

2) Howard was selected 38th overall. So I know he would be there. Burns might be too!

3 ) Fair point. One player is rapidly ascending. I think at this point in time you have an idea of who will be good and average if they started enough games.

Bonus points: In round for Dallas selected Dak Prescott. Other players such as RB Jordan Howard, WR Tyreek Hill were also on the board.

Didn't Arizona offer a swap of 1st round picks and their third? That a better offer if it was made was even better. Colbert said there were offers to trade down.

I didnt say "are you kidding me" to discuss your hypothetical deal. I said it because you actually dug this thread up to pat your self on the back because Howard had a good game.

Re-read it again. Who do we play next week? That is what came to mind, and there was a past debate here for the draft. I'm not the only one who felt Howard and the trade was better. See the initial thread starter.

No but you are the only one who is trying to pat yourself on the back about a pick made two years ago..who the **** cares. Now Howard is better based off one game?? Took you two years to revisit this. Mind you after Howard had a good game on Monday nite. No one cares about a trade that was never verified in the first place

Down with that, but to protect some maybe I won't bump threads where posters who thought Ben was shot and part of the problem :)

I hope Burns gets a pat on the back by doing well and helping the Steelers beat New England. Just do what Howard did last night.
 
Brady was under constant pressure and throwing up prayers half the time. Much easier to cover when the QB is under pressure and inaccurate. Burns is havung to cover a long time against QBs standing tall with all day to throw which makes them more accurate.

Who said he was shot. I remember most saying he needs to play better. He is capable of playing better..

Howard's current year stats look pretty comparable to Burn's rookie year stats.

Howard only played 7 games as a rookie. I think he got hurt in camp. This is his first full season.

Burns to me was better as a rookie. He hasn't been quite the same as a playmaker this season. To quickly clarify, I'm not saying Burns is a bust or a disappointment, just wondering if the Steelers did the right thing by declining the trades.

IF this was a worthy thread bump (which is questionable), shouldn't you at a minimum wait until after Sunday so you can see how Burns makes out against Brady first? Watch Burns get a pick or two and this whole damn discussion was pointless.
