Hi Steeler Nation,

I'm interviewing Courtney Hawkins, former WR/PR/KR. You have any questions for him? Please post them below.

We're going to record Friday morning at 9am, so get em in before then. Thanks team!

Also be sure to vote for Courtney's school: Bleecher High at this link. They're trying to get new lockers donated to them.

Since Cowher is going to the HOF, what's his most memorable Cowher moment?

I see you are a head coach at your alma mater, interested in jumping to the NFL as say a WR coach? Steelers have an opening.

Courtney, three questions that may all pertain to near the same

1) who was your most influential football coach and in what ways were the influence.?

2) how much did family, dad & mom, play into your success.?

3) was there ever a defining moment involving a mentor.?

Lastly sir, THANK YOU for your contributions along the way.

EDIT: PS Thank You Cope for your time and effort into this.!!!

Salute the nation

does he see a difference in leadership from front office from the time he was hear to today?

I wouldn’t necessarily ask him this, but didn’t he run the wrong route in Super Bowl XXX leading to one of the two interceptions?

I didn’t realize he played for Michigan State. I live in Lansing, but I’m not a native. I think his head coach, George Perles, recently passed.

I might be thinking of Corey Holliday running the wrong route in Super Bowl XXX.

Those routes were 10yd read and react routes. The QB has to read where the WR is going to break. The WR job is to run 10yds, then make a move and commit to it. O'Donnell threw early on both counts, since the receiver broke and was running, while Brown was standing still and getting an easy INT thrown to a vacated spot.

Both times the receiver read the defense correctly and they were open.

A member here who was friends with Corey used to say that he admitted running the wrong route on one of the pics. Whether there is any legitimacy to that information, I have no idea. Regardless, I'm sure it's easier to just hate Neil.

He threw three INTs in a game that momentum was with the Steelers late. A wrong route wouldn't excuse an overall ****** performance.
