He's an okay solution or 6-7 million a year. One year. Dupree is the type I wish could be a one year only type of contract player.

Not a bad player, and in his prime, but a risky long term investment. If the Steelers give him 10+ million a for 4-5 years they are fools. He's not that good, and might be a cut later in his final year where you have to eat the cap space.

No he's not the answer. He's been here 4 seasons, I doubt he's suddenly going to get it.
The problem is he's not good at anything, not good at sacking the QB, not good in pass coverage, not good at setting the edge.
Not every player can be a pro bowl player, but they have to be decent at some aspects of the game

Chuckles. I told here he had a low football IQ when drafted ( 13 wonderlic? ) , and wasn't really a sack guy in college. Guess I was right on both counts.

Sometimes he flashes a speed rush, but its very seldom, and he's a minus vs. the run. Looks / workouts like Tarzan, plays too often like Jane.

Again, he's not worthless, like Jarvis Jones was (one of the worst Pitt 1st rounders in a while...well, Burns is about as bad). But he'll never be confused for Lloyd, Harrison or Porter.
That's why I call him Jarvis Dupree.
