Cost of Watt going to skyrocket ??

Cam, as much as I love his play, is 30 with a history of injuries. He'll be 31 when the season starts. He'll get a contract, but it won't be one to break the bank.
Juju - with this season behind him - will also get a contract, but it will also not break the bank. He'll get paid competitively for what he's earned and this season will weigh heavily on that.
Not suggesting either are going to be the highest paid at their position, but between the two of them they'll be close to 30 million per combined and Heyward has only had one season where he didn't play all sixteen games.

Agree on Cam. This will be his 3rd contract. He can opt to play it out and try to get more on the open market but that contract will be backloaded so the team he signs with can cut him if his play drops off after the first year. Or he can sign a decent contract here and try to finish what he started. The 3rd contract is where you're able to get better value than paying top dollar. The risk here is his age and how quickly he drops off. I think Cam is going to be productive into his 30s so long as he stays healthy.

Watt has turned out to be the player the organization thought he would be.....be stupid to not offer him a new contract. Can you imagine how pittiful the D would be w/o him. Of course Dupree's development has helped too.
