The Steelers activated receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster from the Reserve/Injured List ahead of Sunday's Wild Card Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The team also released punter Corliss Waitman.

You knew Tomlin would **** multiple things up and playing Harvin is one. Waitman had no problem holding for kicks so that's not an issue. Harvin is good for at least one shank per game. That will cost you in the playoffs. Mistakes are magnified.
even tougher in cold weather.

What I don’t get about HCMT is some guys get a leash a mile long and others one bad play and they never get out of the doghouse
Yeah how many games did Buggs and Green cost the team just because they kept trotting their stink out there game after game. Too slow to make changes and sometimes they just flat out make no sense.

Dk today posted an article that Klemm and Canada wanted to replace Green many games ago but Tomlin blocked them… the team is definitely not set by who is earning playing time…

So is Canada to blame afterall?

I mean Harvin has a metric tonne of potential, but he absolutely sucks and out glorious special teams coach has screwed him up pretty bad so far… i dont get retaining him this late in the season with a viable option already on the roster and him unlikely to be claimed off waivers

how much did harvin being the holder play into this decision?
Harvin's not a bad thrower also...I know..I know....WTF?!?

Im predicting a fake punt or FG in this contest..
None. Harvin was a draft pick, Waitman wasn't. Release Harvin for now and re-sign him to compete during camp next season. It's playoff time, you need your best players on the field.

What kind of message does this send to players? They all can see like us Waitman has outperformed Harvin...no commitment to winning, just a commitment to stubbornness and ego from the leadership of this team
