Conner was impressive

Feiler opened some nice holes

And I have seen far more than 230 Steeler games. You are 29 year old, correct? Without saying my exact age, I've seen more games than you by a sizable margin at least +100 games

PS: Its nice to see a Millennial who likes sports and has some fire in him.

I've watched every single game since 1996. Every single one. You watch 2 a season. If that. Try again.

As far as 50-100+ yards a way from where the ball is, for sure. It does not compare to TV view for broadcasting, I see fine details your vantage point can not offer. Each viewing point has its pro's and con's so please spare me on the upper deck as I have sat there many times, including before you were born.

Coach, talking without thought again. Heinz Field opened in 2001. Justin was a youthful fan at that time. So you are wrong based on arithmetic. Now I'd you are including TRS, that's a different matter altogether in terms of field of views. TRS upper level, came no where close to what Heinz Field upper level is. About as different as night and day. I saw Pops and crew during that Pirate era, as well as the latter Super Steelers era. TRS was cookie cutter environment. Probably better for Baseball than Football.

Answer 81's question, did you truthfully watch the game live start to finish, as nauseated as it was?

May need some reps in blitz blocking as well as caching the ball. He had some moments in open field but needs to get over the excitement and follow blocks and learn to get down when you need clock to run as end of game. Good and not so good moments but showed some passion which lacks in some of our players.

hey, the first team OLine had Feliler and Finney, not even close to Foster and Pouncey in talent

The point was that, facing better D players who are, likely, 2nd stringers, he did worse than when facing grocery store workers. He might do better than 2.6, but it is unlikely he does 5+, right?

Not sure how to explain it, but he seemed like a frantic runner. Like he was trying to move so fast, but not sure which way to go. That is probably nerves / inexperience. Definitely needs to work on catching the ball, but I think that will correct itself as well. I think he had a solid performance for the first game out. Did not look like a superstar, but didnt look like a bust either. I do think he will get better with time

it was his first pro experience. He looked and played nervous. He didn't do too bad. Has a lot of work to do and should be fine when he settles down.

I thought he looked pretty good for his first outing. As strange as it is to say, I think he needs to slow down a bit. He looked like he was hurrying things at times. Hopefully it was just nerves. Hands could use a little work but he wasn't drafted to be a WR.

Edit: looks like I was a couple minutes late.

I do think he will really benefit when LBell gets there. As one patient back to another, he will be a good teacher and mentor to the young man.

Felt like he left a lot of yards on the field running and he can't catch for ****. He had some nice downhill runs when we pulled the RG and TE down, which is our bread and butter running play. The arrow is pointing up for Conner

And we thought that with Blount and Bell with the whole mentor stuff. Look where that got us.

Had a couple nice carries, looks to have decent vision and a nice cut. Those spins eerily remind me of Rashard Mendenhall, and most of his runs were wide open and to the left side. He ran through huge holes that will not be there against 1st stringers. Showed me nothing in the power running. gaining very little yards after contact.
But yeah I agree with coach he proved he is a better power runner than Bell.

Yeah, no ****. Stupid arguments for sure.

Connor has his first game as a running back in a mixed bag of a supporting cast and people are making judgments. I'm sure we'll get to see a lot more of him this year with Bell's propensity of getting injured or being stupid.

Oh, I've watched every single game since 1990, minus one game vs. the Bengal's for family related reasons. That's 95 more regular season games than you. Plus several playoff games that I am not even counting.

Prior to that I likely saw 100 other Steeler games, including all four super bowls that I watched as a younger child. But you've seen more than me! Here's a hint, if you're going to get into a measuring contest, make sure you make a good showing.

While I don't want to take a dump on the live fan experience, you don't have the quick access to replay via DVR like I do, where often focus on other players or how the play develops. But it's nice to know you see everything. I might ask you a question down the road! And down the road might as well be now

I'm still unsure why Tomlin wears his sunglasses to media press conferences. I must admit, that one I do not know, so here's your chance to shine.

Too bad you've already said many times you haven't watched a game.

You didn't watch yesterday's game.

LOL, well show me where I said I don't watch the games! Of course I do.

A wild claim, the onus of proof is on you.

I watch every time they are on, minus family life cycle events. I still have the last game in my DVR as I plan to re-watch a few plays.

You're coming up short jr :)

It's a good showing for Conner.
Just as any in his situation still a lot to improve and prove.

I'll agree with Coach in that the Steelers can win with him.
Conner and Bell are two different backs. Bell offers a ton more at the moment.
I stand by my "Conner is similar to Parker" comparison.

Definitely starter material. Still has a long ways to be what Bell offers

Trust me. I don't need to go back and dig thru all the posts. I know for a fact several times it's been pointed out that you did not watch the game.

I'm sure several people will back that up.

A cope out. LOL. I often correct people on what happened during the game, for example the guys who gave you thumbs up here.

I remember numerous times you stated you didn't watch a game. I think we all have. It is why probably half the poster here say that to you after 90% of your posts. You say a bunch of stuff all the time that refutes a statement you made in the past. It is what makes you "Coach". And honestly I wouldn't want it any other way.
