Conner Is Not a Starting Back

Conner is good when there is a balance all round - passing and defense and not have to come from behind.

Ducati

FACT: 27 targets & 26 RECEPTIONS....Pretty damn impressive....

Conner is fantastic catching the ball out of the backfield. There have been some balls thrown low or outside but he's made the grabs with ease and just makes it look easy.

As are all backs. See Bell's performance this year.

Absolutely, he should be the model example of the 'balance' angle, he's averaging 3.0 YPC and 1 TD on the year. From a guy who's career average is 4.3 YPC.

DonnieDuc huh? Sounds an awful lot like BobbyBuf

235 rushing yards on the season is last in the league for a starting RB
Like I said, his average is not impressive by any means. However he has just 74 carries in 6 games. (Just 12.3 carries per game.) Even if he was hitting the league average, he'd only have 311 yards.

Conner can't help that Tomlin doesn't know how to use a running back. With him it's 100% or 2%, there is no middle ground.

Looks like we added a new RB to the practice squad, finally have a speedier back in the mix.

If the Steelers eventually offer him the same kind of contract they offered Bell, we'll know he's legit. Personally, I don't see that happening.

Let the highlight reel commence. Welcome to the 'Burgh Tony Brooks-James! Maybe we can finally bench Switz and have this kid returning kicks.

Nice speed. One catch was pretty sweet too.

Switzer's agent just offered to take me on as a client. The only thing he asked was that I give up Cheetos and "some" of the beer. I'm mulling it over, but I could potentially be our next kick return specialist.

Connor could have good hands, vision, breakaway speed, power, all that, but if doesn't have durability whats the point? It's all wasted.

gurley is finished goods, as for our OL pounce is decline mode and Foster is finished goods Villineuva as well is decline

Rbs aren’t durable by nature... people were calling Bell injury prone... Mendenhall... i mean basically i can remember this conversation with pretty much all rbs here at some point...

Its just a position that isn’t durable... especially now that they don’t dole out pain meds like its bubble gum and players don’t try to play through injuries as much...

I mean Barkley is the best back in the league and a few injuries this season isn’t changing that...
Its not like samuels is less injured here.. our oline isn’t a run blocking oline and our coaches don’t employ fullbacks very much... our RBs are going to take a brutal beating a lot... I don’t think it matter who we plug in... we just need a ton of depth

Backs used to be more durable.

Just because he isn’t a HOF candidate, doesn’t mean he is not starter caliber
