Congratulations Penn State!

Yes. Yes, I do.

McSorley is now the all-time single season passing leader at Penn State. He's led the team to a 11-2 record in his first year as a starter, as a sophomore. He's won a division with two top five teams in it. He's won a Big Ten championship, putting up 38 points against a Wisconsin defense which had allowed more than 20 only once all season, setting records for yards and touchdowns while securing the game's MVP. He's a winner, a leader, and has great respect from his teammates.

Um, yeah. I'm willing to go out on a limb and say the guy's job is safe.

McSorley has "it".....Some QB's try to have "it", some QB's think they have "it" but very few really do in fact have "it"....

When he came into the bowl game last year "it" was pretty apparent.

Congratulations to the Penn State Nittany Lions. Champions of the BIG 10.

He is a perfect fit for what they are doing. I still think Stevens is the better player, but I can't see a good reason for messing with what is working there right now. The guy is a player, period. Better than Hackenberg and it isn't close.

McSorley and Barkley will be in the Heisman conversation next year. McSorley is a tough son of a *****. He got destroyed in games this year and in the first half against Wisconsin and he still got up and lead the team to 9 straight wins. Very impressive for his first year playing.

What a great game. I don't think they will be in the final four, but this is a great season to build on

They are a young team. McSorley and Barkley will be tops in the country next year, especially if the o-line can get even a little bit better. And, the D benefited from having half the starters injured early in the season. They now have a lot of young guys with significant playing time. I'd expect them to be in the top 10 next year for sure. Plus, this was the first year they had all of their scholarships back. They will have even more talent in the next couple of years to give scholarships to.

I'm hoping it's USC in the Rose Bowl, and not Colorado. Penn St. - USC is a very good matchup that will make the tv folks real happy.

The offensive line is still missing 2 starters on the left side I think. One is done for the season. Could be wrong on that, but I think they have 2 guys playing there that are starting for the first time this year. Only gonna improve the depth. Penn State will be in the NC picture next year.

PSU-USC would be a great game, against Colorado will be a huge blowout.

Congratulations to Penn State for winning the Big Ten Championship and beating Ohio State in the process - here's your hat you can wear while watching Ohio State in the BCS championship. /sarcasm intended

I think this game vs Wisconsin gave a perfect picture of McSorley if you've never really watched him. The kid is an absolute gamer, a natural leader, He makes good decisions. But you also saw that lack of arm strength that means most of his deep passes become jump balls.

His TD pass to the RB Barkley was absolutely perfect. The other big plays were mostly on the WRs. McSorley got it down there, but the WRs made the plays. Even that TD to the TE Gesicki. He wasn't really open, it was just a tremendous play by the TE to make that catch.

I don't just look at the results of things. I look at the steelers the same way. Over the years in here i have been very critical of steeler wins when i don't think they played well.

That's because i'm always evaluating the Steelers against whether they are good enough to win the Super Bowl.

As Penn State emerged, I started looking at them in terms of Championships as well and when i see so many jump balls as a staple of the offense, it concerns me. Because if you are going to win a championship, eventually you will meet a team that won't let you have those.

Will McSorley lead PSU to lots of wins? Of course he will. Will he get them a national championship? I'm not sure.

I'm not saying that some scrub on the bench will beat him. Penn State has some very highly recruited guys that will be in the mix next year. I'm also not talking about arbitrarily benching him. I'm saying he could get beaten out. I still stand by that. Bottom line is McSorley has some arm strength issues.

To bad this shameful committee cannot see they beat Ohio State and won the Big Ten coming back from the most deficit in champion ship history. Penn State continues to be punished for something this group of player and coaches had not one thing to do with. I have not ties to Penn State but they surly got shafted on this playoff scenario. Congrats for one heck of a game.

They are being punished because they lost two games... a Pitt team that is so-so and lost by almost 40 to Michigan. I just wish they would not have rewarded Washington who scheduled Rutgers, Idaho, and Portland St. As their OOC schedule. Oklahoma, if they played that OOC schedule is an undefeated Big 12 champ and they are in.

Clemson lost to Pitt too....didn't seem to hurt their ranking. I'm not that upset, it was a great season.

See, you continue to look at the McSorley glass as half-empty. The bottom line is NOT that he has arm strength issues. The bottom line is his intangibles are outstanding, he has enough downfield talent at Penn State to help him overcome his "non-Hack" arm, and he can WIN big games at the college level. You were worried about Wisconsin's secondary before the game, yes? 384 yards and 4 touchdowns later, and you're still concerned that the results aren't good enough? We sat through three years of mediocrity and two bullshit bowls with Hackenberg, and now you won't be happy unless McSorley provides you with a national championship?

C'mon, man.

As long as people are voting, it's bullshit, not a true winner. Look at the final four, fans love when the Butler's or VCU's go on a run, well put all the conference champs in, 8 or12 teams or whatever that would be, at least teams would know before the season starts what they need to do to qualify.

Evaluations are nice but production is always better. Alabama has had a few QB's during their title runs with "arm strength" issues.

Sure, but if you create a larger playoff field, then games like the Beef O' Brady bowl are officially meaningless.

(Yes, I'm being sarcastic)
