Confession time

We'll g. By all means then go on and interject your politics into your clips and vids for Steeler nation. **** around and find out.

Don't need to. I'm keeping my politics out of the team I enjoy watching. It should only be about the team anyway.

Besides, politics would never make me not talk to friends, family, or enjoy a football game.

I must be thinking of something else. There was a country dance place on the boarder of Menifee and CL. Now I am not sure what the Cowboy is. My bad.

Cool, but the league is not keeping their politics out of it, and I disagree with the PC nonsense. That's the cause of the desire to not watch. The Steelers are making it difficult on me in seven ways.

But but but why? How do people become "Triggered" if it doesnt matter to you. If it doesnt matter im sure justin would appreciate the fun antics that would ensue.

Look i appreciate that you dont include politics. But dont throw shade at others for not wanting to hear and see politics in their sports they watch, thats all.

On the boarder of CL/Menifee, can't think of anything else though so maybe that was the place but just under a different name. This was a long time ago, right?

Crazy how time flies, bussing tables at Pepe's was one of my first jobs while in HS wayyy back in the day. You ever go to The Canyon Cowboy on the other side?

Probably not. There's 1-2 bars over there. This area has exploded in population in the last 5-10 years. Lots of stuff in Menifee now.

Yeah. I'm thinking about '95? '94? There is a great Mexican place there, too. At least, there was. Can't remember the name.

Yes, I worked over there too (in '92-'93). The Saddlehorn. They had the dining room upstairs and the CW dancing below. That has to be the one (maybe). Can't remember the Mexican restaurant though, only Pepe's.

Saddlehorn. That's what I was thinking of. The Mexican place is in a strip mall on the north side of Newport Blvd, about half way between CL and Menifee.

That might be the bar that is right up against the golf course but shares the same shopping center as Pepe's. I think it is called the Lake House. I have been in there before.

EDIT: Looks on the map like it is still called the Canyon Cowboy. Yeah I am sure I have been there at least once

I sure miss the bass and crappie fishing there, but nothing else.

Not throwing shade at all. Politics is the major reason why Steelers fans are not enjoying this fantastic season. That is a fact.

Yep that's the one.

Same here, we'd drop our lines off the top of the main gate causeway, by the dam and out in the back lake area by the north gate. Don't miss that golf course though, I don't care how short it is, all those doglegs and ups & downs made for a lot of lost balls.

Holy crap! I just pulled up google earth to see where that Mexican place is. That area has changed!!!! Newport now goes straight through to CL Blvd. It used to hit Goetz Rd and turn south. I can't find that strip mall either. There was a real estate office there, and I think a tire store, too.

I don't miss that crap at all. Too friggin' busy for my tastes.

I miss the 200+ people at Pepe's for the Steelers games, though.

When we one against the Seahawks, I ran up and down CL Blvd with a very huge Steelers flag on a pole. I was on the middle plater area. The cops were not happy with me. Oh well.

Got to fish from a bass boat several times at Canyon, mostly at night. In hindsight I would have bought a home in there had I known how nice that lake is. The fishing there is really excellent if you can get out on a boat.

I was a resident, so my boat was in that water a lot.

You guys ever go water-skiing on the lake there? That was fun. And the back lake slalom course, not so fun if you're not the best skiier.

Would love finding little spots in the coves from the boat, there were some seriously nice bass (sure there still is) in that lake.

I hope it's not the jinx we fear.

Why is it all about you? The ONLY reason we came back was because I didn't tuck the Air Conditioning cord underneath the TV as we were mounting our come back. I didn't want momentum to shift as Ben went 5 wide for the go ahead score.

My NOT TUCKING in the cord had way more to do with our win than Minkah batting down that last ball at the goal line. Or you NOT WATCHING.

Get over yourself...

Yeah they punched through Railroad to Newport using the bond money from Audie Murphy Ranch. The developer vacated the project and forfeited their bond. So they punched Newport through all the way which was absolutely fantastic because it became a racetrack for several years until they added too many stop lights. Now Audie Murphy is fully built out and is huge. They're building on the other side of the wash quite a few homes. This place is quickly turning into Temecula with everything on one street.

Loved game day at Pepe's. Tom would have us going good during the rallies and Hugh always fired us up pre-game. I stopped going to Pins n Pockets once I got Sunday ticket and now I have a stream I catch so the NFL gets no $$$ from me.

Tom is a great guy. Mrs. Fan is here with me and wants to know who you are, so we can tell Tom. He is Mrs. Fan's dad. PM me a pic?

Those were great days.

I literally called you guys from Heinz Field when we beat the Jets at the AFCCG. I'll PM a picture. Let me see if I can figure out how to attach a picture.
