I'm shocked that you've not yet gotten an offer from at least one of the NFL teams. If I were you, I'd fire your agent.
I would argue that L Green and M Burnett did NOTHING. If we did not sign them, we would have received a higher comp pick or more comp picks.

Note the words gained. If you sign cheap free agents, and lose players that sign elsewhere for several million or more, you are getting comp picks. Had the Steelers not signed Green or Burnett, they probably would have had a player draft in round 4-5 for a much cheaper rate.

I did the research. Sorry if I missed someone else's post. This is the way it went down:
Lost: Amendola (575 yds 3 tds), Lewis (517 yds 1 TD), Nate Solder (can't gauge but started all 16 games), Malcolm Butler (3 picks, forced Fumble, 2 sacks, 12 PDef), Bedmosi (Backup nobody)
Got: Matt Tobin (0 Games started), Jeremy Hill (25 yds), Adrian Clayborn (11 tackles, 2.5 sacks)
For the difference they get 2 3rds, 6th and a 7th. The rich get richer. Steelers should have let Bell walk. At least they would probably have gotten a 3rd this year.
I believe the compensation is based on the money involved in the players lost compared to the players added.
Both Butler and Solder signed pretty big contracts with the Titans and and Giants respectively. I do not believe anyone the Patriots added signed for nearly as much.
A few things. I was the guy who said trade up to get Ed Reed, and did the same for Earl Thomas. How did their careers work out? What you are referring to was a comment made during Troy's rookie season.
I was the guy who told Chaz to pick Joe Greene. I also told Chuck that Stallworth would last later than when he wanted to pick him in the first. I pleaded with Mr Rooney to pick Marino, but he didn’t listen.
See....anyone can play your game.

You could argue that notion but you would be wrong. They were both hurt more than they played. Green had 304 yards in 6 games. Burnett played in 5 games and collected 17 solo tackles with 13 assisted. So they both played in about a third of the games in their only season they played for us and collected minimal states. And their contracts were not huge deals.
The problem is you didn't call those players but I called the guy I wanted in the draft.
