Comp picks

Thought it would be a 7th, everything seems to be coming up Stillers.

45th pick in the 6th round.....Wow.

I don't see where Zereoue was a bust. He contributed nicely when Jerome was out in 2001.

Great to see we get a 6th round pick instead of a 7th!

Nobody drafted after the 3rd Round should really be considered a bust unless they can't even get out of their first training camp before getting cut. The percentage of guys that even stick on rosters for more than a couple years from Rounds 4-7 is probably 50% at best.

There were no 7th t=round comp picks given to anyone this year, all 6ths or better.

I agree, if you get anything out of a 3rd round comp pick or lower, it was a good pick.

How is it that every f'ing year, the Pats get more comp picks (and higher) than everybody else? I'm sick of this favoritism ****. Honestly, get rid of the comp picks altogether.

well good only a 5th round is lost now.....

we can package Sham not so wow, one of the kickers, and Jarvis for a 5th.....

:eagerness:

Amos was not a bust. He did perform well when he was called for; probably should have used him in that play off loss to Pats instead of the rusty Bus.

I think in order to unload those players we would have to GIVE UP draft picks to get teams to agree to take them.

I imagine that was for not playing Boykin all frickin season.

Great! I suppose the Steelers still made the playoffs and all, but how frustrating was that?

Boykin gave an interview recently and thought that one of the reasons he didn't see the field was because of the draft pick escalator for playing time.

All I'll say about Boykin, it seems there's something more going on, given his falling out with Philly coaches, et al. I can't imagine why in the world the Steelers would trade for him if they weren't planning on giving him a decent shot to get on the field, either as a starter or in nickel/dime. It makes no sense, and not something Colbert & Tomlin would ever do. What's the point? Trade for a guy then sit him cause you don't want to give up a round higher draft pick? Come on. With the deficiencies we had in that secondary? So again, I don't know what it was, but something must have been up with Boykin. Perhaps we'll never find out. But we're now the second team that's deemed him not worthy of a defined role, and have welcomed parting ways with him.
