Personally, I’m rooting for the guy. I always thought he was a good quarterback in the NFL, very cerebral excellent arm and knew how to win, and a good old solid citizen to boot.

I am the 10th child in my family ........so yesHe’s got 10 kids,groceries are expensive since he last played. Can probably earn a quick 1-2 million. Nice option for one months work.

Yeah hard to believe someone like this isn't more game ready then Rivers. Or that someone who played in pre season games but is on a practice squad and played pre season ok.

Richardson is still on IR, looking like he MIGHT be cleared next week. Riley played in pre-season but he's also dealing with a knee injury, Brett Rypien is the other QB, and he's on the practice squad. The other options would have been, other retired QB's who didn't play in the system, or yet another practice squad player in Sam Ehlinger. He's bounced on and off the Broncos practice squad all year. I think it's a desperation move for a week or two in hopes that Richardson can get activated and take over.
