As free agency continues to unravel, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be losing another secondary player in safety, Sean Davis to the Indianapolis Colts. It’s a one-year deal according to NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport on Thursday.

Davis has spent the majority of his career in black and gold outside of a brief stint with the Washington Football Team in 2019, after being drafted by Pittsburgh in 2016. Davis, originally being a starter for the Steelers, has since seen his playing time reduced, and will look to revive his career in Indy. He’ll enter his sixth season in the league with 259 tackles and five interceptions to date.

Thanks for everything, Sean and good luck with the Colts!

Too bad about Davis. Seemed like a decent prospect coming out of Maryland, but something never seemed to click with him. When we resigned him last year, I figured he was in the Steelers plans moving ahead. Guess not. Pretty brutal end for a 2nd round pick. That's a loooot of draft stock to invest in a safety, looks like we whiffed pretty badly on the kid. Good luck to him w the Colts.

Thanks for your time and effort here as a STEELERS player. I always wish former players well upon exit but their "life's work" is up to them.

Salute the nation

he looked like a 4th rounder to me, reach pick all the way
