Colts postgame thread

Anybody get to see Blake on the kickoff team last night? The one where they almost broke it and kicker had to tackle the runner.

Blake looked pathetic. Didn't even TRY to get the runner. (around the 32 yd line.)

That's on the coaching staff not Blake. Blake looks pathetic because he is injured. He's a terrific special teams player when healthy. We picked him up from Jax because of his skills as a gunner. Just watch Blake move around the field --- he looks like both arms are numb all the time.

I actually like what I'm seeing from Villanueva, given that he was thrown in prematurely and is still learning the position. The raw talent and the intangibles especially seem to be there.

It's an intriguing block of clay for Munchack to work with,IMO.

It's like Williams at RB, we really don't have a choice and it is what it is. From everything I've heard, Villanueva strikes me as the sort who is coachable and will rarely make the same mistake twice.

Boykin can cover but he can't tackle. He should have been our nickel CB this whole time (with Gay staying outside when we go nickel), but that doesn't magically turn Boykin into someone who can tackle. He whiffs consistently on special teams and missed tackles last night too. I'm willing to live with it because of his coverage ability but you guys are deluding yourselves if you've convinced yourselves that Boykin is the second coming of Rod Woodson.

And Blake can't cover OR tackle. So what's your point?

One of the positives that I noticed, like many here also, was the final score !!!!!!!!
