Colts May Be Interested iIn Dobbs

You can’t be serious. Bridgewater sucked before the leg injury. Dobbs is already better than Bridgewater.

Bridgewater played for the Jets and Vikings two teams that had defensive-minded head coaches at the time and were not great at developing a quarterback. Now that he's had some time with Sean Payton and then give him Frank Reich and I think he'd be okay.

On a side note was talkin to a Steeler season ticket holder this morning who usually has good information and he says there's rumors that the Colts are offering a second round pick for Rudolph. I said **** that.

Yes, how can a guy that has a 17-12 record with 64.5% passer rating with 29 Tds and 22 ints compare to a guy that has never started an NFL game and has a 50% passer rating with 0 Tds and 1 int?

Have you seen him play? Dude has a pop gun arm and can only dink and dunk. He’s hot garbage.

Make it a first and he's theirs! Seriously, a second round pick is enticing. If MR is the future here, I'd probably walk away from that.

Obviously I've seen him play more times than you've seen Dobbs play. I'm not saying Bridgewater is a good QB. But he's clearly better than Dobbs who is about to get demoted to 3rd or 4th string. At least Bridgewater has started an NFL game and won some games. Dobbs? Not so much.

Using that scenario, why wouldn't the Colts just wait another 4 days and see who gets cut?

Because when you trade you are going after someone you WANT and believe can help your team. Waiting for cuts means you take whatever is out there.

I think people are over enthusiastic about hodges.

Me too, Ark...

I will root for the kid, but to think he's better than Dobbs (hate to remind everyone that Ben was the #3 his first year when we lost two QB's early) - I don't see Hodges in the same light as Ben (the 11th pick in the 1st round).

Bruh...I'd take it. I know it would sting but we don't have a second round pick this year IIRC...

that's too pricey for Indy, which I doubt that would go for that. I know they are desperate, but don't think they are foolish. Time will tell. They have to make a move quickly.
Agree I don't think Indy would do that either, which is fine by me I'd rather keep Rudolph anyways.

Agreed. I'll take the second and one of their TE's. Chyt, if they gave us a 3 and Ebron - Rudolph would be gone today...

I believe Rudolph was a high third round pick to trade him for a second is basically a push depending where the Colts are picking and he looks like he has the potential to be a franchise quarterback. Quarterback is the most important position in the league if you have a good one you keep him.

This! I can't believe people are advocating getting rid of Rudolph for an unknown (I don't care where the draft pick is). It's a small sample size, but he's shown he can be this team's next QB when Ben hangs 'em up. And he has incredible chemistry with another potential star, James Washington.

Because they see Rudolph is a potential star. **** that is right.

Indeed, all the years of Landry Jones & Mike Vick weren't stressful enough? So glad they drafted Rudolph, we finally have a young, up and coming QB behind Ben. Dobbs is a luxury, looks like he too could be pretty good. Why mess with a good thing?

Sure, if the Colts or someone else made a strong offer for Dobbs, maybe you move him and keep Hodges around. That's the most I'd do at this stage.

It's all rumors and speculation at this point, but I'd rather be talkin rumors and speculation about our current crop of players then to be talkin about.."Clown, The Adventures of a douchebag" again.

I'm a fan of Dobbs, but I don't believe he'll ever progress to be any more than he is now. He's not going to be the QB who will lead a game-winning drive in the playoffs, or bring a team back from being down in the 4th quarter. When he throws, he's got zero touch on anything not a bomb. His passes are, more often than not, 120 mph. Dobbs isnt even the type of QB who can keep playoff hopes alive if the starting QB misses a few games. I've seen little progression from his Junior year at Tennessee to now. I'd take a trade for him and wish him the absolute best, since he comes across as a very genuine and likeable guy.

They need to keep Rudolph. He has looked good. I don't see any other #3 QB looking that good on any other team.
