I'd pull the trigger if Indy is serious. Rudolph looks to be the guy at #2 and the only way they can keep Hodges on the roster is to deal Dobbs. I would definitely settle for a lower round pick top make it happen. It also solves a problem for us.
Dobbs may be a great "what I'm seeing is this" type of backup because of his intelligence. I'm not sure who the Colts see twice a year off the top of my head, but that could be another big interest for Dobbs, his ability to run the scout team and mimic any running QBs.
I liked your original straight up but thought about this as well. I'd take a fifth with a conditional 4th attached. Maybe I'm under-selling but we have gotten nothing for players like this in the past so I think we need to move on this if possible.
Eagles and Pats know how to build tradable commodities at QB. Steelers could just be starting up. I know we tried to get something for Landry, but no one bit. Dobbs is better than Landry.
I highly doubt we would get Ebron for Dobbs, although that would be sweet. I think Ebron is pretty underrated and with him and McDonald together it would be a tough pair to defend
After seeing Dobbs progression he is useless to this team so I would literally take ANYTHING. He has progressed but he is still 2-3 years away. That combined with Rudolph looking like could start for some teams makes him useless.
I didn't see anything in that article that would leave me to believe that the colts are actually interested in Dobbs. looks like another reporter throwing **** against the wall to see what sticks. lots of the "Colts Could use, the Colts should be." I would love to see Dobbs do well anywhere he is a good kid.
