The entire nation is still reeling fro the Penn State loss at Indiana ending on a call so bad that draftkings sportsbook refunded bets. Still the nation soldiered on.
A word on rankings and how sill they are. Georgia gets blown out by Bama and just drops 1 spot. Penn State loses on the road on some bonehead plays and a controversial call on the last play in a game they statistically dominated and they drop 10 spots. What if that last 2 point conversion was overturned by replay? Is PSU ranked 7 or 8 now? Makes no sense.
In pregame interviews, it was revaled that James Franklin isn't even living with his family this season. He was surprised by a video call from them during the pregame. Lots of people doing everything they can to make sure the season is played.
A word on the Big 10 COVID regulations. Ridiculous. Their policy is that if a player has a positive test, he must be quarantined for 21 days. Absurd. It is clear that those who wanted Big 10 football cancelled were able to sneak in some rules to try to sabotage the season. They may well get their way after all with a rule like that.
3 Ohio State at 18 Penn State 7:30 ABC
Penn State's #1 RB was out due to an undisclosed medical issue discovered just a few weeks. But backup Noah Cain is more than capable. Until he was injured for the season on the first drive. You find yourself down to RB#3 and that inexperience showed on the play where Indiana let him score even though they were told on the sidelines NOT to score on the play.
Misleading Box scores. In reality, Penn State was more dominant last week that Ohio State. Penn State put up 500 yards offense, held the ball for 40 minutes and shut down a good Indiana offense most of the day.
Ohio State's offense looked good but their OL was not great and their RBs left a lot of yards on the field. Justin Fields was forced to run more than they wanted to keep the offense moving.
OSU had issues on defense. Namely, the Nebraska OL pushed them around and there wasn't much pass rush. OSU did not have a QB hurry last week. There were also WRs open but Taylor Martinez missed them.
How much of week 1 was rust for both teams? There can be a big difference this week for both teams.
No matter how you slice it, if PSU is going to stay close or win, their WRs need to step up big time. They struggled to get open last week. Freshman Parker Washington looks like he may be a player. Somebody else needs to step up or it will be a long day for PSU.
White Out game on Halloween would have been epic. Here's hoping PSU fixed some issues and plays a tough game.

Trevor is out with COVID. His backup is just a 5 start national offensive player of the year. Clemson will still roll
Michigan State at 13 Michigan 12:00 FOX
everybody focused on MSU losing to Rutgers but it could be misleading. They had 7 turnovers. Can't put too much stock in week 1 games in this season. MIchigan still probably wins but MSU is likely much better than they showed week 1
Texas at 8 Oklahoma State 4:00 FOX
if Texas loses this game, then coach Tom Herman is on the hot seat. OK State has not been challenged yet. weak opening schedule and last week's game postponed. Texas has been in more battles and they're desperate.
Miss State at 2 Alabama 7:00 ESPN
will the Bama offense be slowed with the loss of Jaylen Waddle. Maybe, but not enough for Miss State to hang in this game.
