College Football Week 6

I just hate seeing how good the PSU RB's can be along with the other skill players and Clifford holding onto the ball all the time. I think they had less than 10 runs by someone not named Clifford in the 1st half of at least the last 2 games.Spread the ball around or teams will key on you and when they do, you won't be ready to spread the ball around.

If Iowa shows up with the offense they had yesterday in Ann Arbor, Penn State will boat race them. Color me concerned.

Ohio State pounded on a decent Michigan State team. I like what I saw out of their defense and the offense hits its share of big plays. If the police don't take a key player away from the Buckeyes, they should make the final four.

At some point Penn State is going to have to lose that mentality if it wants to compete with the big boys. Teams like Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and maybe Georgia now don't build for the future, they reload. You figure teams with that many 4 and 5 star recruits (Penn State, Michigan, Texas, etc.) should be competing for conference titles and the playoffs every season

100%. College Football is becoming very close to the NBA in terms of where the best high school players are going. Granted banking on a 18 year old kid to be a star is not sure thing, but when you have quite a few four or five star players going the team every year, law of averages says you'll get stars. There, I said it.

I think PSU will transition to that next year. People forget the sanctions because PSU had some great guys like Godwin and Saquon that covered up the poor OL play and lack of depth.

The reason they are playing so many young guys is because the junior and seniors aren't that good. Franklin is doing a great job of recruiting. They are only now having depth. In the coming years, they should not be forced to start so many fresh and soph. Only the best ones will crack the lineup or be role players.

I'd like to see more running as well. But as i've said, i feel like they have put most of their gameplanning into getting Clifford ready for the meat of the schedule and even for next season.

The OL is not good enough to just line up and run against Iowa, Mich, MSU and OSU. They need the read option and they need the passing game. I think that's why they've been working on those aspects so much.
