The eyes of a nation are fixed on Pennsylvania State and pollsters. Many are very concerned about what appears to be blatant mistakes made by officials and awarding a win to the wrong party. The polls were way off. But we must learn to live with the loss to Indiana and being unranked by pollsters. It's on to Maryland.

Rough start to the season installing a new offense and getting 2 good teams to start. The second half vs Ohio State showed promise. WR Jahan Dotson finally stepped up and made plays. Was that an aberration or did the light finally click on for a talented guy who has underachieved most of the time in his career? New playcaller Kirk Cirocca seemed to get in a groove in that second half as well.
This week they face a much less talented opponent so there should be less pressure and more opportunity for big plays. At 0-2 Penn State won't be looking past Maryland. Maryland does have Tua's younger brother at QB who may make some plays.

Is Indiana that good? Is Michigan that bad? We could see this saturday. Lots of heat on Michigan after a devastating loss to Mich state. Indiana is playing with confidence. If Indiana QB Penix can play like he did in the 4th qtr vs Penn State then Indiana should win. If he plays like he did in the first half, then Indiana is in trouble.

both teams have a loss. The loser will have 2 losses and is likely eliminated from playoff contention because their only road would be to beat Bama in the SEC Champ game and i doubt either of these teams could pull that off. I'm not sold on Georgia's QB. Where would Georgia be if they started Justin Field over Jake Fromm. Oh but Jake Fromm is a great guy and he won a bunch of games. So was Jalen Hurd and Saban was smart enough to kick him to the curb for the more talented Tua. Georgia is too conservative and it costs them in big games.

Not a typo. Cincy is ranked 6. Are they any good? They have wins over SMU and Memphis who are decent. Lots of pressure on Cincy to go undefeated. Their only shot at the playoff is to be undefeated.

Clemson will be without Trevor again. Their backup QB was a big time recruit. Clemson struggled last week but maybe that was a letdown without Lawrence and a bit of looking ahead. Tough to judge ND so far. They haven't played a ranked team or even a very good team yet. Their defense is tough but that offense has been anemic at times. Have they been holding back? Maybe. They didn't have to show much to beat their easy schedule thus far.
Big game but it could ultimately be meaningless. It's highly likely these 2 will play again in the ACC champ game. If Clemson loses without Lawrence, they will get a total pass. Then if they win out and beat ND in the rematch they are almost certainly in the playoff. ND can also survive the loss if they beat Clemson in the rematch. This game means more for ND because if they win this then they just might be able to get in the playoff with a close loss to Clemson in champ game.

the Pac 12 is back and Oregon looks like their only possiblity for the playoffs. Can any Pac team get in the playoff while only playing 6 games? They beter be 6 blowouts. Oregon has some high profile players who opted out.
